Incoming Links: Are they a Waste if I do this?

Here is the deal:

I plan to have a blog at www.mysite.com/blog/

I plan to have a squeeze page at www.mysite.com/squeeze.html with a small link to my blog. Don't really want people to click it, but just to have the link their.

Articles will be submitted linking to my squeeze page, but not my blog. Will these incoming links help give my blog ranking in their search engines, though they are linked to my domain and not my blog.

    You will get some residual link juice for the anchor text you link to your blog with from the squeeze page. If that's the only outgoing link from the squeeze page, it will have some power.

    So don't link to your blog with anchor text like "My Blog", because then that's what you'll be trying to rank for.

      Thanks. So it sounds like it might be better to have a link to my blog and to my squeeze page in my articles. However, that could cause people to lose some focus.
