I am so new to this entire IM business and actually am rather disillusioned. I started off with a particular IM "guru" whom I trusted and I bought a few of the products he has passed on for me to look at. However what I am noticing is that a lot of the products are rubbish and all he seems to really be motivated by is buckaroos and has now lost me as a paying subscriber.

By some stroke of luck I discovered that you can actually look for real product and people reviews in Warrior Forum. What a breath of fresh air.
Thanx guyz for this platform. The light has gone on that there actually is real help out there.

You have to be able to identify the products that hold value and the ones that don't. In this industry, there's tons of products or softwares that flood the market, and just like every marketplace there are good ones, bad ones and the occasional exceptional ones.

Don't listen to what they say.

    Watch what they do.

One other thing to keep in mind is that you should definitely invest in skills and real services, such as learning basic copywriting and content creation skills, and an autoresponder service like Aweber, but when it comes to "formulas" or "methods" for making money- think things through rationally and realize that if someone is claiming you can make $xxx money really fast, if it were true no one in their right mind would have a day job- you have to build a real business no matter what your model is.

Thanx NateRivers - true - very true. Being new didnt excuse me from not using common sense! The skills bit is what I am really trying to learn. I am struggling with the copywriting and content creation bit. Any suggestions on how to strengthen thoses - or is it okay to outsource these supposed weaknesses?

Stick to promoting something you would be happy for your grandmother to buy, and you'll be fine.
Physical products via amazon etc can pay well and let you sleep at night.

Plus you are unlikely to fall into the whole get ripped off - learn to rip off others cycle that continually repeats its self in certain places.
