I know a guy who can drive 1.3 million fans to any Facebook page

Yesterday by chance I met on the internet a guy who said he can drive a FB page 1.3 million fans in 3 days... I thought this is another scam, but he sent me a link to a FB page... yesterday in the morning the page had 30k fans... now it has 970k!!!

I chatted some time with him trying to get the method or at least to drive some amount of fans to my FB page for a lower price, but he didn't wanted to drop the price below $2000.00.

Do you think it's worthy the price?

    I don't think so.

Are you sure they are real people and not a botnet?

Yes, I'm sure they are real people, because he made an update to the page posting a picture with flowers and in 5 minutes there were 20 comments + 70 likes and I followed some of the people who commented and they were real people.

20 comments from 970,000 fans. Hardly a great conversion!
For me that says they are definitely NOT real people.

Don't you read, I said it get 20 comments + 70 likes in 5 minutes, still the page had 270k fans at that time.

    I wouldn't pay 2k dollars for it.

You could probably find a FB bot that can add likes for around 5 or 10 bux. So save the other $1,990 for something you really NEED. lol

This liking for the amount of money is not natural and chances are it will not even give you ROI. Rather get page to go viral on its own one does not need that amount of fans to make money anyway.

I don't know how to get them any other way. I've tried several methods but only gotten a few fans, and the pages I make are about popular topics. Facebook success has certainly eluded me...

I hit 3k Facebook likes on one of my websites over at n8geeks.com, the est method to gain likes is to obviously install the plugin to your site but also login to Facebook as your group page and comment on related pages with helpful or relevant information.

I got a shed load of likes simply through that method and I did it somewhat sparsely considering, too. Let's say you have a group, fan page, whatever you want to call it about football - simply write football related posts on football related fan pages, make sure you offer useful information and people will certainly like your page.

Pages with the more likes, the better.

You can get fans by heading over to fiverr.com and paying for a gig. There are tons of gigs on that site. However, apply due diligence and check the sellers feedback before handing over cash.

I would personally not buy any Likes from there because it's not targeted enough. However, I would buy invites, which I have done in the past as this is a little different. Buying an invite allows the visitor to make an informed decision on whether or not they would like to become a fan of your page. Therefore you will be adding fans that share the pages interests.

To make Fb marketing work using Fan Pages you will need fans and to be able to engage them. It's a lot harder to engage fans if they are not interested in your page subject. Wouldn't you agree?

To add a million likes with bots is hard.
You need to have a million fake fb accounts.

What he does is run an app that tells you stuff like
like this page and it will tell you your fortune for 2012 or something like that.

    Those pages go viral.

but it is not targeted in any real way.... other than people being curious.

If you look at this from a business perspective, $2,000 for his method is peanuts. You can set-up your own Facebook services selling the fans, and with 1.3 million at your disposal you will gain back your $2,000 in what, a few days max?

      Questions you want to ask:

      How targeted is the traffic?
      How responsive is the traffic?
Do they fit in your GEO targeting strategy?
Has the traffic got significant amount of disposable income?

And the list goes on... To be fair I would rather have 1000 fans with large bundles of cash, than 970k fans who don't even read the Latin alphabet.

Your choice but you may regret it .....

ps does you do a smaller trial??

If from those 1,3 million people, he sells 50 copies of his product at the price of $40 he is break even. There must be 50 buyers in those 1,3m people no matter how badly targeted the group might be.

But then again, this is just an assumption. I didn't do any testing, however, 1,3 million is just an incredibly big number.

Of course, if the provider of the service could give some additional information, such as age range, you can then provide a product that suits them best. (I know, I know ... there are bizilion products available for a age range, but you choose one that is more general).

Call me a skepchick but I don't think there'll be a buyer among them at all. Think about who those people are and their reason for being "fans". What makes you think that any of them will even have a credit-card or PayPal account and the possibility of becoming a customer?

What makes you think they don't? Everyone has a credit card these days. It's easy to get one and easy to get a credit through it.

Also, I think we didn't discuss whether he OP (or who wants to use the service) would sell Amazon or CB products.

CB would be harder to sell, but Amazon only offers a small commission, so there would have to be more sales.

Anyway, it seems like not-so-efficient idea, but there must be a reason the guy offers the service for $2k.

Maybe there are other forms of monetizing available, and a creative person could make use of those 1,3M fans.

No, not everyone has credit card these days... Have you ever lived in or visited a non English speaking country? No offence to anyone but would you be prepared to pay $2k for 1.3 million fans from Vietnam?

Yes that would be a problem. However, I know nothing about the fans he would provide, maybe the OP could give us some more details?

Just so we are clear: I didn't say it would be a great idea, but it could be a decent one, provided the fans are not as Kal B mentioned

There are nearly 1.4 Billion people in China. There are well over 1 Billion in India. What proportion of them to do you think have a credit-card? What countries does "cheap traffic/hits" on websites typically come from, if you buy it? I'm just asking ...

I used to see a guy can deliver a large fan of FB within 3-5 days. I think he had a trick, for sure to make money with this list of general fans, you must be a pro- Facebook and pro marketers, the newbie can fail and lose money.
And they can deliver with target country also, so if you dont want China, India, you can get US, but I think the price will be higher .

I don't believe in such visitors. I think that the fans are not worth it. If you folks don't agree with me, that's cool, but I think that there is more value in people who want to follow you and are not forced to do so. They will stay longer with you and you will better results with them in the long run.

Before I would spend that kinda cash I would be asking him some very detailed questions most of which have already been outlined above. This sounds like a very high number of fans to drive to someone elses page. I'd be interested to see the stats in his aweber account or what ever aff account he has that is used on a regular basis with those fans... Just sayin check this guy out and seek out some testimonials or other people that hve used his service before.

I don't care for $2,000 (pennies really) to get 1million fans who respond to your posts means that you can promote to this group multiple times, multiple ways, multiple products... if they don't have a credit card who cares? Offer them a link to your "Surveys" affiliate link. Send them a link to your Squidoo page to get a jump on unique visitors and boost the rank of your Squidoo lens... there are multiple ways to make use of this traffic, no matter how crappy it is...

imho, the more important question is:

Do YOU have a tested and proven process in place to monetize
those visitors/fans when you get them?

If yes, you'll have to decide if it's worth a test, based on your

I haven't read the entire thread so I might be making an uninformed comment here. Having declared that, I don't think buying 'fans' is really the right way to go about it. You want people on your FB page who are actually interested in what the page is about, not random traffic. While some FB pages indeed do have mass appeal, most of us would have niche audience targeted pages and would not benefit from generic traffic, no matter how real it is. Also, 1.3 million in 3 days? Surely it cannot be 'natural' traffic?

I would rather have 100,000 ultra targeted fans then 1,000,000 random fans. But that number is just so large that you would have to be able to make some kind of conversions out of it. I would still rather have my own fans that earned by building a community. In my field of work the relationships I have with my clients is very important to my business.

Not worth $2000 to me. If you really want to waist 2gs on something send it my way.

I would take that money an turn it into $10,000 within a few weeks.

    This thread has become long

Well, this morning I woke up and here we go... 1.3 million fans on the fan page as he promised.

The last update of that page 14 hours ago, got +1000 Likes and 74 comments...

Behind that page stay two young brothers from Asian country, they are FB app developers and I think they bring the fans using their already established apps, that already have hundreds thousands of leads...

As a friend of mine suggested me, don't spend these money on this if you're not ready to loose it! I'm not ready to loose $2k at the moment, so I won't spend that amount, but honestly if $2k was not a big deal for me I would go for it... why, it's simple maths... you'll get that money back with just few sales and if you're clever you can live with the money such a page can bring you every month... it doesn't matter that the fans are worldwide and not targeted... there will be something for everyone...

I won't put the link in public, because it can ruin their business, but if anyone is interested, PM me (your e-mail/skype as I don't have permission to send PM) and I'll send you the link to the page

Maybe the guy pays people to be your fans. Such fans are not targeted. But since you have tried it, tell us how many sales you make

I was equally as shocked to think that someone would spend $2,000 for something so ridiculous.

I wont be back to post any more comments here. Ive said my bit.

If it works out for you, great. If not, do us all a favour and dont post a thread titled "Scammed $2,000 - How can I get my money back"

I don't know if someone would spent $2k for this and that's why I created this thread to find it out, as I'm a SEO guy and not very into FB staff.

And if you had read one of my previous posts...

... you would have known that I won't spend that money anyways .. I'd rather buy a fan page with 100k fans for 10x cheaper than page with 1.3 million for $2k.

          Thanks for all opinions!

A fanpage with that much (untargetted) likes is worth nothing in my eyes.

Why not like that page yourself and start a conversation, see how many people join you in this conversation. That surely can give you some insight when it comes to the 'realness' of this particular fanpage.

    Hola,

Not sure, but I would just stick to the natural routes of getting fans to come to your page and once you have them coming in consistently with that then I would up your game and go with paid facebook ads.

That claim just sounds a bit like those people wouldn't even be that targeted and then it's not going to really matter if you have a huge audience if nobody really wanted to be there in the first place.

I would highly recommend checking out some information from Brian Moran, a friend of mine who runs a very profitable Facebook business, and he's definitely taught me a lot about how to get fans and then turn them into interested prospects.

I chatted some time with him trying to get the method or at least to drive some amount of fans to my FB page for a lower price, but he didn't wanted to drop the price below $2000.00.

Do you think it's worthy the price?
Sounds like a scam if you ask me. Also have you thought about whether these fans are targeted?

The fact that he can generate so many fans in a short space of time sounds like some software gaming the system. If I was you I would stay well away from that tactic of gaining fans. If it turns out to be Fb could shut your Fan Page down and your Personal Profile if its linked to the page.

Stick to doing Fb marketing properly. Start small and work your way up. Build a close fan base in your chosen niche and monetize it.

Chasing the quick cash usually comes with a price. Don't say you weren't warned brv!

The first written account of the old adage, "If it seems too good to be true, it probably is" was in the sixteenth century and it has been in common usage ever since. Unfortunately, it hasn't yet apparently come into common understanding.

hey, i've no idea how these guys got 2,3 million likes, yes, 2,300,000 likes in their facebook page but it's a no limits result for me.
search farmers insurance in facebook pages.

Do you have a way to understand how long does it takes for them?
anyway, facebook systems are very smart and as soon they realize you're cheating, they'll close your account in a second!
    ...and bye bye million likes...

anyway, just as social proof, 2k$ will be nothing for a million likes. imagine if you launch a product and so many people like it. there will be no doubt that the product appear great!

It was my first post here and I'm happy to get so many working brains here :-) bye

Where is the traffic from? A lot of offers aren't good outside English speaking countries. If a majority of those fans are in Asia or something then it may not be that easy to make your money back. No way in hell would I do it cause I wouldn't risk $2k of my hard earned money.
