I got an email regarding a site I made about a month back. Here is the mail:

Hi,
I am the marketing executive of a very successful digital marketing and SEO company based in the UK. I would be very interested to find out what different marketing opportunities you offer through your various channels and would appreciate it if you could reply by email to me with some initial information.
We work with a broad range of clients across a wide range of different market sectors, so if this opportunity is of interest to you please contact me for a further discussion.
In this specific instance we are representing a client in the Sports Bicycle industry and would be interested in your Christmas Gifts for Boys blog site.
I look forward to your response.

The site does belong to me. Is this a spam mail, if not how should I respond to this as I have never got any such mails in the past.

To me it looks like this "company" is trying to get you to bite so they can offer you their SEO services for your site.

    Spam.

I'd say it's a scam. Someone else also questioned an email like this they received. It's exactly the same as yours but sent last october...

Spam yes, scam - probably not.
They just do whois email / contact form spam for all the sites ranking for particular keywords.
If you reply, they will probably see how high you rank and your PR etc, and either ignore you, offer some crappy 'free content' in return for a link, or perhaps make an offer for a link/guest post.

I get loads of these, even for crappy spun autoblogs, so im 100% sure its automated.

Not spam and possibly not scam. To find out more do a search for the company name.

It looks to me like an email from a company putting out feelers for advertising on your site for their clients. Many of of the big companies pay for text links or ads on related sites and use agencies to find the sites. Most of the offers are legit but I think there is one trying to get you to install a plugin that's dodgy.
