Cool way to sell Clickbank products...

I have been thinking of getting a block of 30 second commercials that would run locally on cable TV.

The spots work out to be about $1.80 each.

Here is the plan:

Offer a free report on a 'desperate niche' like acne or anything related to health and fitness.

They go a site like acne.ws or something similar that is super easy to remember.

They see a simple squeeze page that just collects there name/email in exchange for the report.

Then email the subscriber a series of emails that pre-sells them on a CB related product. One related to the free report.

Any thoughts on doing this method? FTC or FCC issues?

This sounds like a cracking idea. What sort of view count per ad they say? $1.80 is a cracking deal for 30 sec on TV.

But again the question is how many people can you expect? Also who is their typical audience?

I'll bet that this would work really good right now for stop smoking products.

A squeeze page for acne! Make sure to add a pop-up!

The free report would be considered marketing material. You may run into FCC or more likely FDA issues depending on what was marketed.

I actually helped with a study a couple of years back with direct response and reports. The best-tested conversion response was "An Information Kit" for $2.99. That worked better than free. And even though this was way way way back in 2009, there was demand for both phone and SMS. Sort of like "Text 'BUSTAZIT' to 45555 for more information." Then just text them the URL.

You need to make sure you have at least a mobile site.

    And don't forget radio!!

This sounds like a fantastic idea to me, or at very least innovative. It's your call though. If you have the money to test this until it works (or possibly doesn't), then you should go for it.

Definately try this out! Could work providing you don't have trouble with FFC and FDA. The only way to find out is go ahead and try it to see how well it turns out!

If you are getting them for $1.80 per 30 second spot, they got to be in the middle of the night with very low viewership. I wouldn't expect a high response rate. For the price though, it is well worth a trial of 50 to 100 spots. Not sure acne would be the best niche, but I did like the suggestion of stop smoking.

But who knows? Let us know how it goes.

I'm wondering the same thing as most others. How come 30 seconds on TV is for such a low price? It either has to be at the worst hours when no one is tuned in, or it is on a station that no one watches? Even 30 seconds on the Radio cost a lot more than that, the last time I checked.

If that price is indeed accurate for a fairly good time slot, it's not a bad idea at all.

No idea what ads are shown on your stations at night but here there is only one type

Telephone sex chat lines. I'm guessing because the "few" responses they do get keep on phoning.

I know in some arenas this could be as cheap as stated. Have been considering doing the radio thing for some time... Just need to get my butt in gear and have it done.

Maybe market it as a more generic natural cures site. Chances are at 3am you're not going to have too many zit faced teenagers up.

But perhaps market it as natural and effective cures for Acne, Smoking and just about everything else.

So how does one go about advertising on the TeeVee for the price of coffee?
