Newbie with lots of real estate experience. Starting suggestions???

Hi all. I'm real new to the IM game and bring a lot of experience from the real estate industry. I was hoping to meld the two together with the help of you experts out there. I'm thinking along the lines of subscription newsletters, help sites, and general expert info.

I'm seeing just tons of options through the forums and would like your input as to where a good place to start might be.

Thanks to everyone for putting together such a wealth of info in one place.

Hey totalhomeguy.. nice to see another fellow member of the housing industry. I spent 25 years in Real Estate and Mortgage Banking. I joined the forum a few years ago.. looking for probably the same thing you are. As you mentioned, lots of stuff to consider. I have walked miles in your shoes and wish you well in your online marketing endeavors.

I have a friend who makes a full time living by just providing landing pages for real estate agents. Basically he sets it up for them and hosts it - I think he was charging around $150-$200 / month per site. If you have contacts then that would be a good thing to do. I forgot what it is called but he said there were local organizations or something like that each agent was generally a member of to gain access to different listings to make buying/selling easier. If that gives you access to other agents contact info then it is great place to start marketing.

I've got tons of agent contacts and have been thinking about something like that. Also thinking about mobile sites for agents. I've talked to a couple to measure their interest and it seems to be there. Thanks so much for the reply and suggestions.
