Plimus Or Clickbank For Promoting The Same Merchant Products?

Suppose you are an affiliate of both Clickbank and Plimus and really like a particular merchant's product but the merchant is selling it on both services how do you decide whether to promote it through Plimus or Clickbank? Usually the merchant will use a universal commission payment set up and terms of services as they are technically using their own site to sell the products with tracking ids to respective programs and affiliates.

I'm not sure that I would bother to promote it. If I send my ClickBank affiliate hoplink to their site that isn't something that Plimus will recognize.

Why is it listed on different affiliate networks?

I would prefer Clickbank because I'm too lazy to register with Plimus :-)

I don't promote it on either. I just cross it off my list very quickly indeed, and move on with my constantly ongoing product selection research.

This is one of the biggest and worst forms of "payment leak" you can encounter, as an affiliate. A product with two sales pages?! Thanks but no thanks!

These are strange vendors - clearly not professional ones. Either they're newbies, or they just haven't thought it through, or they're up to no good, or something. But however you look at it, their products are not for serious, professional affiliates. I have a mortgage to pay, out of what I earn - I don't need these silly games. On ClickBank alone, I have about 15,000 products to choose from, without needing to worry about potential payment leaks. If vendors want to play games like that, I'll find other products and not have to worry about whether or not my affiliate cookie earns me a commission when the customer buys it (as most do) a few days or a month later.

I would suggest Clickbank over Plimus, because this program is more trusted and legitimate for more than a decade.
