Hey Warriors,

Thanks a lot for the wonderful support
so far.For sometime now,I have heard
so much about the need to owning a
mailing list as an internet marketer.
And now,I want to start one.

The stuff is that my budget is low.So,
I want to give the 30-day free trial with
Getresponse a shot.

Every thing being equal,I am expecting
to get over 500+ subscribers within the
next 30 days.So I want to ask if with
the 30-day free trial with Getresponse
if I can be allowed to put up 500+
subscribers in my autoresponders as
a free trial.

That is,with the Getresponse 30-day
free trial,can the system allow me to
put up to 500+ subscribers as a free
trial? Or is there a limit of subscribers
the system can allow for a free trial?

  • check out mailchimp if you have a low budget, they have a free version that allows up to 2000 suscribers and 12000 mails a month
  • Not being a wiseguy but this is a question for Getresponse. They'll answer quickly and you'll have the right answer.

    As for Mailchimp as someone has suggested, forget it if you're doing anything related to IM. They don't allow it and they delete accounts without notice if that's what you're doing. It's spelled out very clearly in their TOS. Don't take a chance of suddenly losing all your subscribers because a service is free.
  • Selecting an email contact provider is an important decision. Do you really want to lump your business in with those who use getresponse? It doesn't have a great reputation and your deliverability raters will suffer due to being lumped in with crowd that uses that service.

    Constant Contact and Email Brain are both reputable companies that are commonly used by reputable companies. Select a reputable company that is used by other reputable companies and you will have a response rate similar to what is enjoyed by reputable companies.

    It never pays to take short cuts in business... especially if those short cuts could give your reputation a black eye.

  • I know that this question is regarding GetResponse, but if you have a limited budget I would suggest starting with Vertical Response. There's no monthly fee, you merely pay for the emails you send which is only $0.0015/each. They provide double optin forms for your sites. Once you build your list to the point that a monthly pay program makes sense you can usually import the list from Vertical Response WITHOUT having your subscribers do another optin (as long as you used VR double optin forms to build your list.)
  • I would go with Aweber. Currently they are offering $1 for the first month, and up to 500 subscribers. I know a lot of top notch Internet marketers use this as their auto responder, and it's definitely one of the best long term.

      This is a question to ask GetResponse, not one to ask Warriors.

      Unless it's changed since I looked (always possible, I suppose), GetResponse's initial "free start offer" is not limited in time, but in subscriber numbers.

      On the contrary, GetResponse has an excellent reputation. Here (as the search function will quickly show you) and in many other places, too.
