A quick rant about the wso thread!

Just feel I need to vent!!! the wso thread is getting worse by the week, to the point that people need to go back and read the rules!!! I regularly have a look through for wso's that interest me and tend to get attracted to ones with several pages of reviews as these are the ones obviously stirring up interest for one reason or another. I pick these ones as I assume these are the ones with lots of reviews just to find pages of negative remarks, discussions and people telling me why or why not they are buying the wso. The rules state that the forum is to be used for people to write reveiws and for people to ask questions that they think others would also like cleared up before they buy.

What makes me angry is the amount of people who feel the need to tell the world their thoughts on why they should or shouldnt buy, WHO CARES! i dont want to hear peoples brain farts like "this seems like something Ive bought before and didnt work" or "I think such a such marketing is dead nowadays" or "Im not buying because your sales letter looked spammy"! or just posting negative comments even though they havent even bought the product!!!

I know its not a major thing but the Warrioir Forum is great place to be and there is a thread/forum for every subject here, so please use the wso forums sales threads for what they were meant for! reviews good or bad and for clearing up uncertainties berfore you decide to buy or not!!!!
NOT for brain farts and negativity! - unless your a buyer!!

A thread I read today, somebody had posted moaning that in the sales copy it said can build a 6 figure business in a week, which can be misleading but this certain poster did see it as meaning earn a six figure income in a week and asked the seller for proof, when the seller explained it meant you can set up a business in a week that can potentially be a six figure earner the poster replied on the thread "you should of stated THAT"..... Negativity like this does no good for the thread or the forum, ffs, most products sell for $5 -$20, who in their right mind would think anyone would sell a product that earned you six figures in a week for so little!!!! bit of realism please!!!

Sorry for the rant would love to see a wso with lots of pages of reveiws good or bad so I can properly make a decision without trawling pages if complete negative drivel!!!

Thats all!!! feel a bit better with that off my chest!!!

I totally agree with you, I only joined the Warrior Forum in 2010 but had been viewing it on and off for a few years before that, even since late 2010 I have seen a HUGE difference, when I see a product I might like it takes hours now to go through the cr@p until I actually get to read the reviews.
I bought a WSO from Happy Warrior, I am sure you bought the same one, it is amazing and so is Happy Warrior yet the thread has now been deleted due to some horrible negative people putting stupid comments on the thread.
I don't blame people for being sceptical though with so many rubbish WSO's out there and to be honest with you I blame the WSO's telling poeple how to make their own WSO's, there are soooo many of them about, they are basicly telling people to write up a product to sell on the warrior forum about how to make money, how is someone who has never made any money online meant to do that unless they lie about their earnings? makes me wonder if anyone actually makes money at all other than selling WSO's.

AGREED. I've had dozen WSO sellers ignoring me after I asked them to proof more specificly their earnings and sources of earnings. It's just a fact that due to so many visitors on this forum even the **** sells : /

  • A few years ago it wasn't so crazy. It seems like in the past couple years some people decided they need to chime in on WSO's they've never bought, don't know anything about, and don't plan to buy.

It's a new style of doing things - trashing it before you even use it. That and a mental issue called being an idiot.

Ya, that drives me crazy. I keep going to the WSO section to look at new PLR only to see comment after comment of "PLR is dead." and "Google hates PLR." That isn't what I'm there to see. I'm there to see if the PLR is high quality. I hate weeding through spam comments just to get to real reviews.

Ah, I see your bull**** filters are being developed That's the thing, right? Provide enough up front validation of your product to warrant having it purchased. It doesn't matter what is being offered in the WSO, it still needs to provide a level of value that is justified. A simple PM to the seller can quickly steer you in the direction of whether it should be purchased or not. If the seller gets back to you and starts acting like a used car salesman and evades question after question, then I think you know your answer.

I'm alllll about transparency. I "get" sales tactics, but I still think you should be able to express exactly what it is you are offering without having any doublespeak.

And as for the negativity, you need to look past it. This forum is way more global now than it was years ago. We didn't have so much of a problem as that. Now, you need to be more tightly aligned with what is being offered and see through the crap and analyze if there is a nugget of gold that can be gleaned from the offering.

Anywhere you go in this world..anywhere.....there will be people who will try to scam you and try to sell shiny dreams to you...

But it always depend upon us...whether or not to buy that.

We are the prey to our own urges....
The urges of always looking out for Fast Buck...get rich quick and over night millionaire schemes or the most popular "Magic Button".

Do not buy anything unless it adds something to what you are doing at present.
What I mean is that- Suppose you are working on Facebook marketing and you come across a product that is giving something valuable related to FB marketing. But if the sales letter is saying something like "make $978,458.56 within the next week"...or "No work, No knowledge or skill required...", there is 99.9% chances thats a pure hyped BS (I absolutely hate those). Just delete and get rid of it then and there!!

So be wise while you are spending your money. You really do not need 100 courses to get started. Just get 1 or 2 and focus on those...Thats it!!

Well, exactly. If it was that good then the person posting it would be off earning that money themselves (or on a tropical beach, or picking out their new sportscar), not trying to peddle it for $5 or $20 a time. Same even for those earning $1k a week.

Another way to look at it is that the WSO seller is just adding another stream of income to his bottom line. And when you have a list of thousands of previous buyers for example, when you launch a new WSO you can quickly make thousands of dollars in a matter of days.

Exactly! But the very best advice I have heard of late is; Don't outsource your thinking. Especially when it comes to how you are to invest your time and money. So even when you do buy something this should no be a licence to switch your brain off nor to neglect to research and test for yourself beyond what the product creator has given you.

As an apolitical Australian I see a lot of whining online across the political spectrum irrespective of who the political leadership is in any given country.

But that's OK. I can ignore that. It's the whining offline down at the supermarket or in line at the bank or wherever that you can't just skim over that really let's me know what a cry baby society the western world has become.

That sounds like a fair comment to me - I think posters should be REALLY clear about what they mean and what the product actually does. There are too many people hiding behind potential double meanings and vagueness in their product.

I've seen a few WSOs that don't explain how the product works or what it does (when it's an actual product, not a book), and that's a huge red flag to me. If your product was good you'd be happy to say more than 'This is a theme optimised for affiliates' or 'This is a plugin that decreases your bounce rate'. In many cases there is simply not enough information for someone to make a purchasing decision. The only buyers are those attracted to the 'Make $10,000 in a week' and other such claims.

I am yet to find any WSO that I would buy, not saying they wouldn't be helpful for some people, but I know where I could find the same (or better) information or functionality elsewhere for free.

Most of this is the WSO creators job to monitor. They have every right to have those posts deleted if the person hasn't bought the product. If they want to spend the money to advertise they should care enough about their own product to keep the idiot post's off the thread.

The WSO section is a free for all like the other sections, they are paid advertisements and as such only legit questions or reviews are allowed to be posted on them.

So most of the blame is on the product owners for allowing it and not reporting it.

If you see someone making a comment in a WSO thread and it's obvious they did not purchase the product, please use the "report post" icon (the red triangle) so the mods can be alerted.

People can leave constructive criticism in a WSO threads as long as they stick to the facts. But someone making a commentary on why someone should not buy the product when they haven't bought it themselves is against the rules. It's also against the rules to try and sabatogue anyone's WSOs, so if you see those also report those.

The mods cannot catch everything, so if people would report these rule violations, the better for the community. You might also find this thread helpful:

What is bothering me are the testimonials that are from a different WSO. I don't really want to scroll past a hundred testimonials in the first place. But it is even harder when most or all of those testimonials were given for a different product or service. A person may have listed 3 fantastic WSO's in a row but the current one is a dud. I don't think they should be allowed to post testimonials from previous WSO's.

Are you saying this because you don't find the actual testimonial post in the wso thread in question?

If this is the case I definitely think that its deceptive on the part of the WSO seller but I don't think it should be forbidden as long as their is a disclaimer that testimonials noted may be from previous products or something to that effect.
