My site gets visitors daily but no earnings! Any tips for me?

I started a site in health niche last year October. In November the site gets 1400+ uniques according to analytics. December got me 2400+ uniques and January so far (to 15th) has got me 1400+ uniques.

Thats about 5200+ uniques in 2 and half month time. From that amount about 4900+ comes from Google (organic).

But no earnings at all. I was promoting 2 products from Clickbank. But both gets in that time in total about 80 clicks and no sale at all. I changed to another products to promote yesterday but I don't have data since it's still new.

I don't have adsense as my account was banned because of the scam adsense site that was sold here in Warrior Forum (the one with guaranteed earnings from day one).

Anyone tips for me to utilize this traffic to earn money? The site is foodforhealthyhair.com

Thanks

Nice site, and I'm glad you don't have any banners or Adsense type ads - it makes the site look more professional.

And the reason why you are not getting any sales is because you just have an ad plastered there - you have to refine your approach. And that approach should be a review approach. You should review these products and persuade people on why they should buy them - really persuade them - include videos of you or someone giving a great review.

In fact you have a lot of good info but no character at all. You need someone with a voice and a face that can be a sort of an authority figure for the info that is given.

And even a better approach would be to put up an Auto Responder with a free gift - then email them a newsletter with products that you are selling.

There is so much more but this is a good start.

Thanks, I like those ideas. I think I am going to try them. I never used the review approach before and never used a mailing list but I think it will be great. Thanks again!

    Hi Cesarian,

A few factors you gotta consider

    1. your traffic source

Where do you get your traffic from? For instance, if you are in the health niche, and you are getting traffic from the dating niche, its hard to convert.

Very often in traffic generation, its not solely the quantity. Quality counts too.

    2. your website conversion

What do you have on your site? Is it optimized to get conversions? Is it too messy and hard for your visitors to proceed with the action that you want them to take?

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for the tips. As to answer your questions:

The traffic source come mainly from Google search with the keywords I targeted. So traffic is really targeted.

The site is easy to read and every visitors will see the ads I placed each time they visit a page.

If I were you I'd start promoting an offer that is more relevant.

The people who will visit your site are more interested in having healthy hair than in recipes, so promote product(s) that are all about getting great hair.

I've just checked Clickbank and there are a few there, and there's one on markethealth.com. I think you'd have better success with those.

And of course, the list building advice is unbeatable.

Thanks, well I promoted the healthy hair products from Clickbank before but it wasn't good. I don't get sells. The paleo recipe is about healthy recipes I think that's why I promoted it but anyway I will try markethealth.com. Thanks!

Your site is really nice, I must say. I think the key mistake you are making, as you have probably realized yourself, is the choice of products. You need to stick to healthy hair products, even if they didn't work in the past. Just find a product in that niche that you or someone you know would buy - something that you genuinely believe would work. If you are getting traffic and clicks, getting a good product to market is the best way to get sales. Best of luck!

What I notice when I went to your site is you don't have links in the content area recommending your visitors to check out the guide your promoting.

My first impression of your site is that your not selling anything. What I would do is with every post is you ad a call to action recommending them the affiliate website.

Say something like "Click here for the recommended food for healthy hair guide"

If the product has a good gravity and you add the call to action in your posts you should see conversions.

Well when I made this site I thought that the article should be informative so people don't see it as promotion content so they will read further and stay longer. But I think I can add a small content for promoting products just as you say. Thanks!

Just a quick thought when landing on your website.

Are people really looking for Food to help hair growth.

What runs through my mind is that its ridiculous.

I really don't mean that to be bad. It's just what went through
my head.(and maybe 1500 other peoples?)

Well, from the 2.5 months, 1600+ visitors comes from the keyword "food(s) for healthy hair" and a few hundreds from related keyword containing "hair" and "food". Others comes from keywords containing "health" and "hair". So it's really targeted visitors. For food for hair growth there are 33 visitors.

    Hi

Looking at your site, I think you are going to have a tough time selling a Clickbank product. "Eating for healthy hair" isn't exactly a solution to a problem.

You are also selling diet products in the "hair care" niche. People searching for "Eating for healthy hair" are looking for "hair care" information, not diet information. Nobody is going to want a recipe or diet book. Find a fabulous Hair Care product on Clickbank for better results.

It is a great looking site and too bad you are banned from AdSense. It looks more like an information site better suited to per-click ads rather than a product you need to sell to get a commission.

I would think if you used an alternate ad source to AdWords and made even just a little money on some clicks, you could flip this site for good money on flippa. Someone who is NOT banned from AdSense would see the potential.

I just Googled and found this:

The Top 10 Alternatives to Google Adsense

Another thing you should do (to help with affiliate sales if you don't go with ads) is build a list. Use an opt-in offering a free ebook or email series on 10 Top Healthy Hair tips or something.

Once you have them on the list, send an auto responder series offering value. Every once in a while send an affiliate link to a HAIR CARE product:

"This is the best curling iron on sale at Amazon..."

"Kim Kardashian just released her complete 'Don't You Wish You Had My Hair' workout check it out here..."

Much easier to peddle Clickbank if you are working with a market who already knows you and has some trust.

    Mahlon

PS If there isn't one, create a 'Best Foods for Healthy Hair' ebook. Market it to your list: "I just released an ebook...".

I like your site. It offers alot of info for hair. The food image in the header is confusing. How old is the site? Reason for asking is if it's not to old, come up with another domain. Example tipsforhealthyhair.com or heathyhairtips.com . Then you can put anything in there that is associated with making healthy hair. I would still chane the header image to something with hair. Good luck with it

Perhaps you can try adding affiliate links into your posts? I know if I was looking for this kind of product, I would definitely click out of curiosity. If I found the product is decent and well-priced, I may even buy it.

If you don't have these, you should definitely get at least one of the following:
    A squeeze page
    An opt-in form
    Links in the articles.

You need something to try to convince the readers to click the links. It'd be different if this was an adsense website, but people need to gain some interest before buying Clickbank products. Great job on traffic by the way.

Best of luck, you can do it.

I wanted to add... if you're promoting specific products (like the hair loss/gain you mentioned), you should have targeted posts for that. Make them easy to navigate to from your main page. You might even be able to rank them so people searching "food products for hair loss" (as an example) will find the page, giving you targeted buyers.

You have no compeling reason for people to buy anything. Your headline: Food For Healthy Hair. Hmmm... Not too exciting. It's mildly interesting but that's not enough. And... the white font gets lost in the background image.

Your headline needs to grab the attention of your visitors. It needs to scream out benefits. Try someting like: Discover How A Simple Change In Diet Will Give You Lucious, Radiant Hair In Only A Matter Of Days.

That's just off the top of my head. You know more about your stuff than I so come up with something that forces people to read on. Make them feel like they're missing something if they click away. Then everything else in your blog has to do the same.

It always comes down to providing massive value and gaining trust. Make it your goal to get visitors to keep coming back. Offer free and inexpensive reports and build a list. Then send them useful information in follow-up email messages. Once you've showed them you're the real deal, send them Clickbank or other offers for related products.

Right now people can go to your site and AT A GLANCE learn exactly what foods they need to eat to get healthy hair. There's no need to buy anything, you've told them how to do it.

Perhaps you could shift the focus from telling them exactly how to get healthy hair through food, to telling them how the concept of using food to completely change the health of your hair really works! ...that it really exists and there is scientific evidence it works, etc, etc.

And to find out how exactly to do it, the exact foods in the right proportions, etc.. you should check out "Food For Healthy Hair Product X".

You are promoting a super low end product which should sell rather easily. A couple reasons why you are not making any sales might be one or more reasons:

    1) You are not getting real uniques, but only page loads.
    2) The entire set up of your website sucks
    3) You don´t promote your product at the end of each post.
    4) The keywords you are targeting, are not relevant to the product.

Thoughts? The products that are there are sort of related but not for the site itself. Try to narrow the products down. I mean if I search google for healthy eating and go to a website and they have a regular recipe book, its not going to fly. I want a healthy cookbook. Also why not try a different product for each block, Salmon is delivered to your door so why not find a company that delivers salmon and see if they have an affiliate program.

Hi Mimi ... your site is really good with lot of content and useful material. But it lacks the power of motivating your visitor to buy. The visitors will all say waw ... good site and
that's it. If you want money to pour in, give them something... make them participate in a contest and invite visitors to share their good and bad experiences in your site. You will get a mix of response from visitors who will share their sorrow story and also success story. This way it becomes an interactive site. Also have a live chat feature in your website. For 90 days just pay $1 and get it from this company .... bit dot ly slash ngofrclickdesk and make your site very interactive. Trust will automatically build up and people will start buying from you. See if this works

You must have getting traffic but rising traffic is not an assurance of getting conversions, actually what happening that the traffic you are getting is not dedicated traffic they were looking for something else and by chance stepped into your website. You have to do a bit more research and try to in-corporate more relative keywords so that only interested traffic you will have.

You can get traffic from Advertising on Internet
It has become really easy for any business to have a personalized website by which they can advertise, directly interact with the customer; provide details about their product and services. Regular newsletters, offers, discounts can be pasted on site to increase the interest of the website visitors.
Since it’s easy to reach any kind of audience concerning any kind of business, the possibility of misuse is always there. Based on this Internet advertising is classified into two kinds of advertisement, legal online advertising and illegal online advertising. Legal online advertising includes online advertising directories, search engine advertising, e-mail advertising, and desktop advertising. Illegal advertising is more commonly know as spamming. This is usually done by altering some system settings with the help of external applications after which pop-ups are sent to a particular network or computer. The external applications are known as adware or spyware. Some of these are really harmful, the most famous being Trojans, which are very hard to uninstall and remove from the system.

It's good that you have lots of unique visitors everyday, but the problem is the product. I think you need to pick some products that has high conversions and with high gravity. Aside from Clickbank, you should try the MarketHealth affiliate program.

Markethealth so far is the best health affiliate program today, and there are lots of top converting products for you to choose. It's also free to join, you have nothing to lose. Just try promoting these products and get back here if you have seen results.

    Hola,

I believe that you just haven't found a product to promote yet that really clicks with your niche and your audience. If you have proof that you are getting a lot of eyeballs on that product and nobody is buying it, then it looks like you should try putting something else in front of their eyes for a while and see how that works. Just experiment with different offers but also different ways that you present those offers.
