    Have a look around the forums and start doing something first before choising a method of your choice and than buy a product to train you further.

      Don't buy anything for a while, except, possibly a subscription to the War Room. There are true experts here posting great, knowledgeable information, BUT, your first task will probably be one of the most difficult: learning to distinguish the genuine experts from those who simply respond to threads but, unfortunately know virtually nothing about the subjects they give opinions on.

        This ^^^. Read through the forum first and see what it is all about. Suck in the information, Decide to take which IM route, ask related questions to that and once certain that this will route will be your expertise for the upcoming months, stick to it when successful and be persistent.

    Before you commit to pay for learning about the internet marketing, try to look around the forums first. There are tons of information that you wanna learn about the IM, don't just jump to the next level without learning the basics first. But if you really insist, then I suggest you go to the Warrior Special Offers section to find what you are looking for.

    Stay away from this place if you're at the basic level, it will fill your head full of misinformation and send you screaming off in the wrong direction.

    You say you're willing to pay? Create a new thread titled "Recommendation for Internet Marketing Courses" or search for a thread that may already be open. Then check out what people suggest. Expect to pay someone $100+ per month to take you through the basics in a systematic way. That would be a great investment in your future if you're serious about wanting to get involved.
    Again....stay away from browsing the forums - collect the specific information you need to find a mentor, then get the hell away from here until you know enough to filter out the BS.

    Dont go buy anything yet, i think the best thing you can do is begin your work on something,you'll begin to have more specific questions then. If you are looking to start from the basics, i would begin with goggling everything you don't know, like the terms for example, Wikipedia is your best friend now!

    I agree. You should check out the war room as there are lots of very good freebies in there.

    Try not to buy any products or at least if you do make sure you stick with it and see it through rather than doing what many do and not doing very well with it, getting distracked and then jumping onto the next product that has a good sales page. If you do this you are very unlikely to succeed.

    The first thing you should do when you are a newbie online marketer is to check out several areas to find your personal taste. I definitely recommend you to a lot of testing in the starting phase. Try to get your nose under as much stuff as possible, because this is how you find something that you are truly passionate about.

    Once you have found your niche, be willing to go hard and become an expert in it if that´s what you want to do.

    Well, you are in the right place to learn! The WF is an awesome source of great information and also a place where many helpful people who have "made" it join together and help newbies out.

    I highly recommend joining the War Room (it's I think $37, but it's worth it's price in gold). The War Room is literally filled with great free information provided by fellow warriors who use the section as a way to give back to the community for everything they've learned from it.

    Everything you need is here, but you need some direction or you'll just get overwhelmed by it all. Focus on your strengths, choose a proven way to make money online (for me affiliate marketing is the easiest way to get started, but there are lots of others), and search the forum for information on your chosen topic. Be specific, and most of all take action, and you will see results.

    You have enough free information in this forum, youtube and on other websites to start doing some cash. Actually you have so much that it's even confusing.

    Depending on your business plan but you can also learn alot by studying other guys who are already successful by looking to their websites, how they write their content, keywords, where they get their backlinks etc.

    The thing is by buying from someone (who is actually trying to teach and not scam) you have all the information organize and you don't need to waste so much time looking around.

    You are in the right place. This forum is full of good free advice. Look at the questions that others are asking about the subject then go through all the responses. You will find some true gold nuggets. You can learn a lot from the members just by following these conversations. At the end of the day, though, no good idea is worth anything unless it is implemented so do not continue to learn without taking action.

    I wouldn't buy anything to start with as there is a LOT of free information around. The problem will be in having something that takes you step by step. For example, The War room is a good option but it's not organized. I would recommend listening to the Beginner Internet Business Podcast (yep, shameless plug) because it has resources that will help you stay focused.

    And it's free.

    Your initial problem with learning this stuff is in being overwhelmed but you don't have to be. It's like eating an elephant; just take it a bite at a time.

    Save your $, don't fall for the Shiny Object Syndrome (buying every latest and greatest thing that will make you rich, beautiful, smart, perfect marketer, etc.)

    And FOCUS - make a plan for yourself.
    1. Learn online marketing basics
    a.Niche selection
    b.Keyword research

    2. How do I build a site?
    a.Hosting
    b.Domain
    c.Wordpress?

    3.Traffic
    a.
    b.
    c. etc etc

    This is just partial list. Do your own and stay focused!

    There's ton of free information on the internet about internet marketing. The question is, are you willing to stick it out even when free marketing strategies aren't working for you immediately? You can't get discouraged when things aren't going your way. Keep marketing, and work on building lots of traffic to your website.

    The most important thing while starting out is please decide if you want to start making money ASAP or you are ok with leanring the IM fundamentals and tie it to your business goals. The fastest way to make money is freelancing and providing services m, that will help you focus with money coming in and you can sytemize, productize your service and make more long term money in the process... also while buying WSO's or any Im products try to go for one with regular coaching and also skype group as that will help you be more focused

    Read around, Maybe War Room.

    But remember, they key to success is ACTION! if you read something, go apply it to the best of your knowledge, don't wait till you read more or know more, its simpler than you might think. if it starts to grow, enhance it and repeat. Or start with another thing.
    Also:

    -Try to do something you like or good in (article writing, product reviewing, design,.....)

    -Always try to provide your expected customers with thing that you would see valuable if you were in their shoes

    -Stay away from shady or black hat stuff that you will find on the web (at least until you know enough)

    -Give it time! don't expect that whatever you do is going to try is going to work overnight, while a lucky chance is possible, it is likely to need some time to grow

    -If you got stuck, search the forums or ask, you will find lots of help

      All I can share is how I was able to learn internet marketing (still learning after 10 years...)

      1. I watched and payed attention to what people were doing who were successful - not just WHAT they were doing but WHY it was working. I looked at what their web pages looked like, what they were selling, how they interacted with their market, how they got their traffic, how they monetized their traffic, and so on....you can learn a great deal JUST by doing this

      2. I did buy products...by and large they were helpful. As long as I learned one new tip, technique, concept or strategy from each one I was happy.

      3. I took action. No fear...just jump in and expect that not everything will work, but be darn sure to recognize what does and what doesn't work so you don't repeat mistakes and don't ignore what does work

      4. I networked - anywhere I could...by email, phone, at seminars (now you have even more places via social networking) with my mentors...learning everything I could from them.

      5. Once I figured out something that worked, I outsourced so that it would scale bigger fast and so I could continue to learn new techniques and strategies that would add additional streams of traffic or income

      That's it...it will start off slower than you may like, but as long as you are making forward progress (finding out what doesn't work or does work for you), then you are miles ahead of where you are today.

    There are lots of things to get done and you have a lot to learn.

    But do not let that bother you. It is pretty obvious there is a treasure trove of information in here, and the stuff in here, is much better than those $97 ebooks at times.

    So What you need to do is this.

    1) come to the warrior forum & study.

    2) Learn all you can.

    and then the most important part.

    3) apply this to your new business.

    So it is read, and then apply.

    Most newbie keep coming in here, asking the same questions, but they never get to step 3. So do not be one of these people.

    For results to show, or not show, you need to TAKE ACTION. without action you will not see any results.

    Don't buy anything yet and subscribe to newsletter from reputable Internet Marketer.

    To discern the right mentors, you need to look at comments from followers. Then some programs are very affordable (like 37$ or 37$ a month) and take you further in your venture.

    The right mentors will also refer you to other successful internet marketers, you only have to apply their strategies long enough to become successful.

    Don't forget to focus so that you don't become overwhelmed by information overload.

    If you want to learn internet marketing basics, you are in the right place. Read and reply to as many threads as you possibly can. Ask plenty of questions and develop relationships. There is a lot to learn and at times it can be over-whelming. Don't forget to grab pen and paper and take plenty of notes.

      yeah i agree with the other warriors. for best value, u wanna invest in the war room. seriously $36 for life. u can't go wrong. then ill need to sieve through a lot of info and pin point exactly what u wanna do.

      the problem with being a newbie, is you get distracted and u will try 100000 different things at once. don't fall into that trap. once u have pin pointed something that u wanna focus on eg. doing affiliate marketing with sep/driving traffic or providing a service on fiver or making money with amazon - then find step by step products on it.

      u will rarely find 100% free info that is GOOD on a particular topic. people are not willing to give their secrets away for free.

      but u can get your skills up to a certain point with free info. hope that helps...
