Your first 5bucksaday

I'm relatively new to IM, a little less than a year. I was really clueless for quite a while (I still most likely am), but about 6 months ago I was introduced to MS and it changed the way I looked at the Internet.

It gave me the motivation to work as hard as I could on an article marketing, high ranking strategy to make money through affiliates. I'm 6 months in and a bit discouraged.

So much so that I went back to learn more and get right again and came to the warrior forums (knew about it for a long time, but figured there wasn't much value for me [foolish]). I read thread after thread and came across the 5bucksaday link and I have to say I feel completely rejuvenated.

Its funny because in the first part of the 5bucksaday strategy Dennis explains that the strategy isn't some secret trick, and I was mad because that was why I bought it! But of course, I paid the money for it so I just continued on disgruntled.

But I am very thankful because I have never read something so intensely. It has completely changed the way I look at IM. I was mindlessly working to work, doing all the "right" things. But now I see that even when you do all the things you are supposed to, it means nothing without focus.

Anyways, I haven't yet taken the time to do the 2-hour intense project brainstorm, but just in the last 24 hours, I have put 15 items on my list just in sudden moments of inspiration.

My question is to any one of you willing to share is if this guide also changed the way you think about IM and what your first successful 5buck project was.

Thanks
Josh

You are inspiring me to break that book out again. I'm in the 1kaday membership also. That's your next step. Don't freak! Just a suggestion. After all Dennis started small then all of the sudden he was opening this club. You and I are not different then him really.

    Hola,

Right on. It's all about finding something that you love to do and crossing it with a niche that people love to pay for content based on what you love to do. Right audience, right attitude, and you'll be good to go!

You will notice that if you spend your profits wisely (New WSO's, new tools, new link services) your earnings will start to snowball greatly. Best of luck to you!

Definitely the 5bucksaday strategy is one of the best and I didn't really start making money until I joined Denis' membership site.

The first step is finding the inspiration for the ideas. The next step is perspiration and not giving up.

Let us know how you go Josh.

The key is to take small steps and actions and continue to take them.

Most of the failures come from quitting and not following through. Once you get going, things do snowball : )

      I definitely agree on this.

To further add to this, I also suggest setting up a long term plan beforehand. Then divide the long term plan into daily/weekly chores/actions and be strict on the implementation.

Each small step is a big help.

Great to hear this. I haven't read the ebook, but I'm really happy that you see IM this way now. Wish you good luck. The worst part is over.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. It is encouraging when you haven't yet achieved success to hear from those that are further up the path that it is doable.

I just love the way it breaks up things into projects. The site I have been working on all I have been focused on is how I'm going to replace my current income from my job. It feels like such a massive burden and such a massive climb especially when you spend 6 months to make nowhere near it.

Break things up into smaller bits. If it doesn't work out and the project yields nothing, no sweat, there are plenty of others waiting to go. It also appeals to my wanting to try new things rather than doing the same thing over and over. Every week can be something fresh, a new problem to solve, a new challenge to conquer.

    @Claire

I do plan on joining the forum with the first dollars I make. I don't expect that I will be making $1,000 by the end of the month, but I feel confident that I could make enough to join the forums. Even that much money would reassure me that I am moving in the right direction.
