Facebook Fanpages Help

I've just started a Fan Page and don't know how to get it up and running. I have a lot of old posts on my blog, should I start posting them?
How about buying some fans from somewhere like Fiverr? Will I get into trouble with Facebook for doing this?
Anybody any ideas on how to kick start it? Any advice is welcome.

If you need quality likes on your page I suggest to never buy from anyone..... Build it from your own effort.... Offer something attractive that will help u increase your likes e.g offer some free ebook and in response request a like.....

    I hope this helps.....

You should link your page to an external site through the iframe (like your blog) and your content will be automatically added.

Find just 25 friends to like your new page so you can customize the URL.

What is the fan page about? Do you also have a website for the same? If yes, then you should link your fan page from your website. That would also help build up genuine fans.

Hey Jill, Facebook has removed this prerequisite for a custom URL. Therefore you no longer need 25 LIKES into order to change it.

    Hi

Start by placing a fanbox on your blog and encourage people to visit your page from your blog.

Then use Facebook as your page and start visiting similar high trafficked pages, have conversations on them which add value to the pages you are visiting and you will get people to visit your page.

I would recommend that if you are going to spend $$$ to do so via the facebook advertising system and build up fans that are geniunely interested in what you have to offer.

    Hope this helps

    Chris

First in regards to posting your old blog posts. Yes you can use them in the notes feature on your fan page. Make sure you've added the application as a tab. On your Fan Page wall you always try to post engaging content to build your relationship with them and your Edgerank.

Yes you can buy fans from Fiverr.com No you will not get into trouble with Facebook unless you where accumulating thousands of likes in a short period of time. This would indicate that your page is utilizing some kind of software to gain likes, which would attract the attention of the mods. However, would you want random people who has no invested interests in what you are offering on your Fan Page becoming fans? Wouldn't you prefer targeted fans instead? And if you think it doesn't matter whether they are targeted or not, how easy will it be to get them to engaged with your posted wall content?

I would personally buy invites from Fiverr.com instead. As these would give the potential fan a chance to decided whether or not they would want to become a fan. You want to be building a solid fan foundation at all times. Btw Likes and Invites gigs are different things.

If you are planning to create a Fb Fan Page on your online business then I would strongly suggest you look at your entire Fan Page structure. The main things which you will have to include are:

    1. Customized Welcome Page (Make this your landing page)
    2. Your avatar image (Try to promote yourself or service/product within this image and make the intentions of your page clear here.)
    3. Ensure you have an opt-in form on on of your pages

    Good luck!

I don't think you need to post all your old posts ( just the five most recent ones, to get things started). More importantly, you need people to like your page and to participate in the conversations you create and then moderate. There are a number of ways to get quick likes on your page, but to get real likes, you should go on similar pages and make informed, intelligent posts so that people (who are obviously interested in your niche) check out your own page, and hit the like button. Good luck!

I say you get your own fans instead of wasting money buying them. Buying will not guarantee success and it will not guarantee they are targeted. It's not the # of fans that counts, it's the quality of your fans. Make your fan page interactive. Engage your audience, give them entertainment and share some of your posts. Also, use the questions feature and comment on other popular fan pages using your own to gain popularity.

Check this short vid I made on this topic:

Yes, that is very true. I do fb ppc and the audience is way more targeted since you can narrow down and optimize the ad to only show to people you want them to. If you're thinking about buying fans, I highly recommend just do ppc using your fb fan page with a custom capture page like the one I have and the one you have.

How quick do you see results to your page? Not really in regards to how many LIKES you get but more of how many visitors hit your page. I would like to do a test on conversions using two different pages and I'm not sure as to whether I should buy invites for 1,000 visitors or use fb ads for relatively the same number of visitors. Thanks

OP, Yes , you can buy Fans, Facebook will not ban your page at all, There are a lot of small companies / entrepreneurs and brands who buy fans for their fanpages.

Buddy, If you go for facebook ads, you get around 10 fans per $, and it becomes too costly to get fans via facebook ads, although they are more targeted, but the cost is like 100 $ for 1k fans via fb ads

There are websites you can sign up to to exchange fans, you become a fan on another page and they become fans on yours.. itäs always good to have a few fans. People seem to be more eager to LIKE something that others already like.

Yes you can if you want. However, if you don't have any fans then your wasting posts. Head over to fiverr.com and get a couple invite gigs going.

You certainly will not. So don't worry. But be specific don't buy LIKES as they are not targeted enough. Go for invites because at least then you give the visitor an option to join your page.

Then build a list of other Fan Pages within your niche with 150 - 1,500 fans and start contacting the page owners. BE polite and ask if you can add them if they are interested in becoming tag partners. Build a list of 30-50 tag partners. Then find the top blogs or information resources online in your niche and any time news worth content is posted select 3-5 members of your tag group to tag in the posts. Post on your wall with the tag partners included. Also if you can create valuable content relating to your niche in video format (i.e. camtasia recording, "How to") post these videos in your posts and tag your partners. Be carefully not to over do it. Change your tag sequence as often as possible and always make sure your content is the best value and news worthy. Doing this over time will increase your fans, edge rank, engagement and essentially your traffic source. I could advise a bunch of other things to do but I've already giving you more than enough to start you off!

Keep us updated with your progress.

Getting Quality likes means getting real humans.

I have seen many services on fivver selling facebook fans and likes. But most are just bots and not active likes. You know fake profiles.

    So these will not help.

I know it is a long process, but as others have already pointed out, you will need to build it from the ground your self. Slowly by slowly, you will get real fans.

Also there are some free sites you can join just to give you a head start with real fans. Such as
Free Targeted Facebook Fans/Likes, Fast Twitter Followers, Google Plus One, Get Youtube Video Views, Buy VIP

The people there are marketers and they will not be real fans anyway. But when they like your page, it shows up to their friends and it is from those friend that you can get real fans. I ope you get the point here.

Another option is to find genuine sellers here on the warrior offer.

For Example, I saw this offer here and I think it is good. (I am not an affiliate and this is not an affiliate Link.)

I hope my info helps you and answers some of your questions.

If you have a lot of friends get them to share it. I can literally make a fanpage go viral in about 2 weeks only by doing this, although I would need 2 weeks prior to this to build a Facebook page with 5000 super targeted friends.

This is a great thread. I'm not FB savvy but soon looking to launch a fanpage for list building and wondering about getting people to post about my offer on their pages.

A while back I saw a product that posts a canned message on their wall when they liked a page. Perhaps that isn't necessary.

Ok...First of all make sure you are quite interested in the topic of your Fan page or at least you can devote some quality time on researching about that topic. This will help you to contribute some real value for your your fans and your visitors. If you have to drag yourself to write a live on that topic, I would say ...keep away from that as your frustrations will come across your posts.

Secondly, find some good other Fan pages related to your niche. You can do that going to the search bar in Facebook and just typing your niche market. It will give you a lot of related good fan pages. Go and check them out. How many fans they have, how many are talking about that page..... For example...if the page is having 10000 fans but only, 10 people are talking about that..leave that ...its not worth it as they are not doing a good job with their fan page.

Look for some good pages and start interacting with them. Like, comment and share good, resourceful and insightful thoughts with them. Provide good and extraordinary value. Get yourself noticed by your contents. Contribute good stuff to their fan pages. This is a very good way to get some quick fans under your belt.

Another way is to just go to your personal profile and invite your own friends to your fan page. Request them directly to check out your fan page. Its one of the fastest way to get off the ground and start spreading the word about your page.

The next strategy can be....whenever you produce any content for any website, get a link to your fan page below that. Suppose you are involved in a related forum, or you make a video in your related niche for YouTube or you just write an article, just get a link to your Fan page below those just like a signature link. Also try to get a signature link in all your emails that you send to anyone.

Using FB advisement to get your likes is also a good and fast way to increase the number of your fans, but I would advise that your get at least few fans and some good content in your page before you go for FB ads. that would boost your credibility.

Some more golden tips: Always post entertaining and engaging content. Make sure your posts stand out in the crowd of posts. Its all about building a relationship with your fans. Get them engaged and make them interact with your page. The more they interact, the better for you. Ask relevant questions. Pictures and videos do great work as they grab eyeballs quickly rather then just few written lines. Its all about relationship and engagement.

      Hope that helps.

Get in touch with me if you need any more help.

    Hey HappinessGuru,

As a daily web user I am sure you know that if you are that effective then you will get clicks/likes. What you need to do is first market place your fan-page widget in your WP blog as mentioned by 'wfhblueprints' and market your blog as well as the blog posts on top bookmarking sites. Try to bookmark as much as possible and after a week start sharing your blog posts which you think is useful no matter in what term in your social media networks and your fan page as well. I did same for one of my WP blog and believe me I got 100 likes in 28 days only, what I think as the reason for my like increased was the posts as they were useful. Also try to title your posts as how, why, when and etc to get better in search results too.

I would have to agree there. Users will be much more enticed to join your page if they see a few thousand likes. If you're going to go this route, make sure you set up a like gate and have some meaningful text that will get the user interested to see what's inside.

You could also buy ad space on fb to drive likes using the like gate but this may not make sense depending on what you're selling/who you're targeting.

Anyway, if anyone needs help setting up the like gate or getting some US 'dummy likes' I'd be happy to help out!

As soon as you finish creating the fan page, feel free to do want you want. Post interesting topics that tells about your page. In terms of propagating your fans, buying facebook fans will not harm you as long as you are getting the real one. However, if you have second thoughts in doing so, I suggest you to try other strategy in boosting your fans like engaging yourself in social media exchange.
