How do you find a good article writing service?

How do you find a good article writing service? Has anyone used MTurk to get articles written? Did you have success?

I'm not sure where to start looking - are there any forums here on WF for article writing? I looked but didn't see any. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks!

It depends on what you're looking for and how much you want to spend. Check the "Warriors For Hire" section for a good start.

Lots of them out there. Some charge next to nothing but write articles you have to rewrite as they are spun, PLR or outsourced from a foreign country that has horrible English.

Warriors for hire section on the main page.

Watch it though, they are here too... offering any article fast for next to nothing. You get what you pay for.

Finding a good article writer is definitely very important.

I have tried my fair share.

The best one I have found which are very reasonably priced
and supply good quality are 'The Content Authority'.

    Hope this helps.

There are a lot of good writers in the warrior for hire section. Read their reviews. Then place a small order so you can make sure you like their style and content.

Problem with article writing is people who are foreign based will write broken English articles fast for next to nothing. People will go with them since it's the Dollar General of articles.

      Yay..

Then your audience gets confused or bored since it seems everyone thinks they need to put 1,000 articles on how to rid pimples written by someone who doesn't speak English in their native language.

Hire article writers to sell, stop thinking about the more article mania, information overload crap. The longer you keep your potential customer at your site reading tons of articles the less chance you have to sell!

Get to the point, make your offer. Pay more for quality writers.

Or whine about low sales conversions.

Good idea to consider! Maybe you don't have to go anywhere else! You're already in warrior forum! Best wishes!

If you haven't already done so, take a spin through the Warriors for Hire section. that will give you a look at some good (and some not-so-good) services. Like Rose said, make a smaller purchase to start off with. That way, if you and your writer don't "click", you won't be out a ton of money.

Before you place any orders, though, ask a bunch of questions. Make sure you know who's going to be writing your articles and what kind of editorial process they're going to go through before they're sent off to you. Remember, your content is your only chance to "talk" to potential customers. You'll need good stuff that sets you apart from the 50,000,000 other people who do what you do.

Another vote for content authority. I went through several individual writers and article writing services, and articles from the content authority are consistently the best. But, if you're only willing to pay for crap then crap is what you'll get- I pay over $10 per 500-word article but it's worth every penny.

As some of the others mentioned, you can find tons of writers in the "Warriors for Hire" section. You just have to do your due diligence and make sure the person you hire has good reviews and samples. I do not recommend trying to hire writers using Mturk. I use their people for tasks that are extremely simple and require little understanding of English - and there's a reason for that.

Do NOT try to use MTurk for hiring cheap article writers. I have tested this before, and it was a disaster. Many of the writers who are there are not from the USA and don't have the skills to write quality English articles.

Any reputable writer knows they can make much more money outside of Mturk, so you are not going to find many decent writers there.

I also recommend the Warriors For Hire section here. I like to read the reviews in the thread first, and anyone who has a lot of great reviews is probably going to be a decent writer.

The main lesson I learned when looking for sources for article writing is "you get what you pay for".

In my experience, cheaper articles get rewritten by me to raise the quality and fix the errors. It would be nice to get the article and post it!

It's all trial and error. You will need to review the samples or purchase a small set of articles with your keywords to test out the writers. I am going through this process now and it's amazing to me that some people have excellent reviews although their writing leaves much to be desired. It makes me wonder if the positive reviews are honest.

iwriter.com is an excellent service (I am not affiliated with them in any way) that I have been very happy to use. The cost per article is very low - although it does help to offer a little more than the baseline price as that will attract a faster response.

What I particularly like is that your money is held in escrow until you have read and approved each article. If you reject one for any reason your 'job' is put back out to the writers and someone else will do it for you.

I have only ever had to reject one article. Some have needed a small amount of editing and spelling attention, but most have been really excellent.

The speed of delivery is sometimes amazing. I have briefed in ten articles before now and had them all completed within a couple of hours. And all to a really good quality.

I have also used textbrokers and SEOgenerals and both are good, but iwriter gets my vote at the moment.

That's a tough one. While everybody tries to portray its service best in the industry, finding a reliable and helpful article writing service can be tricky. One good way to do is to look at their quality with respect to their pricing. And, their turnaround time. If they are delivering you your articles on time and as expected, then you can stick to them.

Besides the above generic stuff, you can get few good Hire a warrior services and oDesk.

      Hope this helps! :-)

If you have the ability to write content or knowledge of writing content then you can use the article spinner. Search the relevant content and spin you have to check out for few corrections. Another way is you can hire a content writter first check the samples and hire the person if you are satisfy with the quality of writter. Don't try MTurk instead of this article spinner is too good and cheap too.

This is a loaded question because quality writing is subjective. There are many great services out there, but if you hire a cheap service chances are the content won't be all that great.

You can look in the "Warriors for Hire" section, but some of the writers in there are not all that good either. I have never use MTurk, but I have used iWriter (they suck) 99centarticles (they are not bad), and a few other services that didn't impress me much.

There are some really good writers out there, but you better expect to spend 3-4 cents per word or more.

Why do you make that sweeping statement? The onus for providing a good return on investment is surely with the person who buys the article - not with the writer.

If the writer delivers a high quality article, in accordance with what was promised, then he or she has kept the bargain initially made. It is then up to the person who buys the article to ensure that the return on investment proves to be worthwhile.

I never accept a client who cannot persuade me that he or she knows how to properly profit from the content I provide. The onus is never on me to provide a "good return on investment," but rather on the person who buys the content.

It really also depends on what kind of business you are running. Low quality content will work for short term, high volume businesses. If you want to build a good business and are patient enough to wait some time and invest some money, then you HAVE to invest into high quality content that people want to read. For this kind of content the writer is not only a writer but also a researcher, maybe even expert.

I know everybody is so big on copyscape, but in my experience those that say they provide 100% copyscape pass articles doesn't make it quality writing. For all you know it could be spun garbage or from a foreign source.

Now, I will say if you choose the top level writers from textbrokers you get pretty good articles, but anything lower and chances are the quality won't be there.

I prefer having one writer per topic, so my site/blog gets the same voice in every post/article.

Yes that is a good way to approach it. Much like the way I do it with the "warrior for hire" section. I seek out writers with a specialty in whatever the niche happens to be and test three to five with just one article. Then, choose the one that writes the best.

It can be a difficult task finding a good content service. I would avoid fiverr, although there are some good writers there, the service can be hit an miss.

    Some good sources are -
madcontent.com - they are professional and very affordable.
The content authority are also good

For a different approach, you can also check out TopicBay.com they provide pre-written, off-the-shelf articles. They cover lots of niches and the quality is excellent.

Of course the warriors for hire section is also a goldmine of resources.

    Best of luck

I've just had 5 articles written using a service that's affiliated with odesk.com

They are called Media Piston and the reason they are great is because....

You give them your topic, select the package ($14 for 500 words) and then they get 5 star writers to crank stuff out. Then an editor comes in and cleans any mistakes up and runs it through copyscape. Really great service because it takes the hassle out of checking over someones work in great detail, plus turnaround time is very quick!

Oh and I thought it was a pretty good price!

    • Linerider...I have to agree with you. I have been one of the top Elance writers for the past 12 years and while prices might be slightly higher than found on other writing sites, clients are provided with a higher level of professionalism and caliber of work. Rather than an editor checking my work and someone else running it through Copyscape, my clients are provided with flawless content the first go-around. That's why I am paid a somewhat more competitive price. I know there are other great resources but I stand by Elance 100%.

Finding 'a good article writing service' is not as cut and dried as many of the responses here might suggest.

The types of articles you want, how you intend to publish them, and their role in your content strategy should all play a role in choosing the writer/service that will be right for you. With increasing importance on unique, relevant and well constructed content, IMO it is vital that the articles that you use to support your online business are of good quality (at the very least).

By starting with great articles, you can then repurpose them - have them rewritten several times (by humans, not spun!) and add them to feeder or third party sites.

Pillar articles, those that you might add to an authority site, should be of the standard that you would put your name to - premium quality. Leverage them, too, by creating slide/videos from them, podcasts, even infographics.

You might get articles of this quality on fiverr - but I doubt it!

My advice is to look for a writer who can deliver the type of articles you want, for the purpose you want, and who can prove (by examples or testimonials) that they can, in fact, deliver to those requirements.
