Simple things that make a big difference

Sometimes I am amazed at how you can rack your brain trying to come up with a "master plan", and then you something really small that all the sudden makes a big difference.

In my case, we just changed the appearance of two buttons:

They were smaller, and less obvious. We made them bigger, and all the sudden orders are up a good 30%.

What are some small things you have done that made a big difference?

    I started being more consistent... that made a big difference.

    I finished school and started working 9 to 5... that made a big difference in increasing my motivation... and drive to succeed online.

    I've simplified some opt-in forms and have switched from offering ebooks to offering videos on opt-in pages. Those items have helped increase opt-ins.

      I hope one day I will be organized enough to run one. Right now, just staying busy, and the simple thing that makes a difference on that is drinking lots of water and making sure I get up every few minutes (and drinking water insures that!)

    All great insights. I've never made my order buttons bigger or smaller, I usually just focus on split testing copy. Well I'll start split testing order buttons... and just when I thought I was done testing crap LOL

    I like this post because it is so true that one thing can make a huge difference in your business. Here is 2 simple things that you can do to help increase your website sales:
    1) don't clutter your website
    2) Their eyes need to hit the benefit first (Make sure to open up your website and take notice of what is the first thing that catches your eye.)

    for me its all about ad placements,.. I put a border around my adsense ad under the banner and it increased the CTR by 6%..
