New Youtube account for every new website?

Greetings warriors.

For the past few years i've been hearing more and more that video is the next big thing and I just decided to finally jump on board (I know took me a while). The question I have though is the following: Would you open a new youtube account for every website that you create, so that account only holds videos for that specific site, or would you rather create one universal account on Youtube (or any video website for that matter) and hold all of your videos for any website on that 1 account?

Creating one account for every website seems smarter to me, but it looks like such a hassle that I have to create a new e-mail and a new video account every time I create a website. Do I sound too lazy for you? Please help me out here.

Appreciate any input. Thank you.
Vik.

I would definitely create new accounts for each website (or group of websites related to a single niche). Within reason, of course.

If someone visits your channel to watch videos about a certain topic, you may not want them seeing the videos about another topic. Sticking to one topic makes you seem more like an expert.

And if by chance one of your accounts gets deleted, you haven't lost everything.

    .

  • I would suggest that you create a new a account for each site and make each channel unique(with for example a youtube background with pictures of the products you are promoting). This will make sure that the traffic you are getting from your channel or videoes is a lot more targetted to your specific niche.

If you have trouble remembering all the usernames and passwords I highly recommend using LastPass it keeps track of all your usernames and passwords and can even generate unique password. (+It's free)

This is a good suggestion. You can save a lot of time for thinking of new content for each niche that you handle. You're at risk for being reported if you post the same (well, not exactly the same; same in the sense that you just changed some names in the videos) video on another account. It's better to choose a method that you think is the best use of your time.

I would also suggest creating a new account for each site. You want to keep this separated, especially is niches are not related. Creating an account for each site will also enable you to create keyword rich YouTube channel user=names for every site!

I think you got your answer, but I would tweak it even a little bit more. Create a youtube channel for your niche and then create new accounts for each website. That way you are building a personal brand in that niche and the other youtube channels will send you some traffic to your sites.

I have the same opinion, yes you should.

    Hey people,

Is it only me that noticed a BIG change in the way YouTube accounts are now created?

It seem that one can't choose a keyword rich YouTube Channel name anymore.

Google ask for a "real" person name like John Doe and this is what will appear as your YouTube account NOT the gmail you create even if Google call it "user name" it will be only for username@gmail.com and it will not show anywhere on Youtube.

    You wont see:

Uploaded by UserName on Mar 29, 2011

    Instead you will see:

Uploaded by John Doe on Mar 29, 2011

Would really like some feedback on this.

    Thanks

And also, how are people creating multiple accounts when Youtube only allows 2 accounts per Phone Number?

I was taken back by this with the last channel I created. Yes, you are correct that they ask for a real name; however, I believe you can still go into settings and change the display name. Took me awhile to figure it out.

    Hi

A good thing of having a unique YouTube (Squiddo/whatever) account for each website is you can include those accounts (username/password) when you sell the web site.

Some services don't allow multiple accounts, but for those that do it is good to have.

Just make a list of the sites with a desired username/password and outsource the creation of all the accounts for $5 on fiverr.

You don't necessarily have to create a new youtube account for every website, but it would be best to create a new youtube account for every niche that you get into. You could create youtube accounts that is about a broad niche like health for instance that way you can create videos in multiple subniches for that broad niche.

What I do is create a channel for every market I'm in. For example, I have one channel dedicated to PCs and the videos range from hardware/software reviews to optimization tips to speed up your PC.

My internet marketing Channel for example covers alsorts, stuff like keyword research to getting website traffic. What I've done also is put all the videos into Playlists as well. So if you want to watch all my SEO videos then there's a playlist within my internet marketing channel.

New Youtube account for every new website?
Yes i would create one youtube account for each website, and each niche.

Each youtube account has an rss feed, which you can submit to rss directories for more exposure for your videos.

so if you have more rss feeds then you can subit more. That can mean more exposure than if you just submitted 1 rss feed.

So basically you get to submit more youtube account RSS feed to rss directories.

For your youtube account, your rss feed will be this:

      http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/YourUsername/uploads

After grabbing this, then submit that to rss directories for more exposure.

I did this and got an explotion of traffic.

(Dont forget to change YourUsername with your youtube username) .

    @ Ruskor,

You can do it however you want it, but my suggestion is to keep 1 channel/ niche
    instead of 1 channel /website.

I personally do 1 channel/website because each website for me is a different niche

Also keep in mind that if you're doing about IM, there is a great chance your channel can get suspended by other IM'ers..

So for the others, here it is:

When creating your YouTube-Google+ account, it will ask you for a real person's name.

Once your YouTube account created, go to account settings and click "advance" right under your account name-email next to your profile picture on top of page.

You will be presented with this:

    Channel settings

Channel URL: Real Name - YouTubeCreate custom URL
Create a username for this channel and hide the Google Profile information associated with it. Link to Create username

Click on the red Create username

    That's it!

I once read that on youtube you're allowed to download other peoples videos and upload them on your own channel as long as they are changed a certain amount.

Does anyone know if this is true? can you use everyones videos? I'm pretty sure copyright laws would be against this?

As recommended by many warriors here, it is best to create one account (one channel) for each niche. You can spend $5 at fiverr to hire someone to create 10 to 100 email accounts for you if you are too lazy to create all of them yourself. Remember to check the gig's rating first before ordering.

Phone number is required ONLY to check if you are a real person and not a robot. I have used my regular home phone number 6 times with no problem because it is a robot that calls you to give you a verification code you need to then enter in the process to be "verified" It take 7 seconds to do.

Yes with your old already created accounts, no problem. I meant when creating a new account at YouTube, it ask for a "real" name and it is the real name that will appear bellow the video.

But you can change the real name by a user (keyword rich) name:

When creating your YouTube-Google+ account, it will ask you for a real person's name.

Once your YouTube account created, go to account settings and click "advance" right under your account name-email next to your profile picture on top of page.

Hey pizzatherapy, I think you are mistaking "partner" program with just "monetization" Your new videos will now be "monetized" automatically but it doesn't mean you have the partner program on your account.

To partner with Google-Youtube you need millions of views and thousands of subscribers.

Get a new account for each website... if only to reserve the keyword for your site on that social media platform.

You don't want to own a domain name (yourdomain.com) and then have someone register youtube.com/yourdomain.

    That would be quite annoying.

I am a little torn on multiple YouTube accounts. In Theory it is a great idea but time is a valuable commodity and it takes a lot of time to keep up multiple accounts especially if you have facebook, twitter, vimeo, digg, and stumble upon. My suggestion would be to have one YouTube account and make sure you do all you can to maximize it. It would be better to spend time on focusing on one account then a little time on each..My Two Cents because at the end of the day what do I really know?

If you don't want cross association between your websites then you should open up a different Youtube account for each website because otherwise it will be easy for users to see that you are not so committed to your niche and this will detract from your conviction.

Best thing to do is create multiple youtube accounts if possible and name them to your keyword. If the main keyword is "hairremoval" then if it is NOT already taken on YouTube, use it.

If you have multiple niches like male appearance or lady's secrets to looking good then use a more "broad" account name like "ladysecretstolookinggood" if that keyword is profitable as checked on Google keyword tool.

      Get the idea?

My another question; does youtube ban me when I push up 50-100 product videos for one niche in my free account, I will multiple this (different niches)?

Or is it safer to load up only 20-30 videos per niche to youtube?
