Not sure about software but I usually use Expired Domains with PR, Backlinks and more completely FREE because it includes links to the best expired URLs every day. Good luck in your software search

I'm not a big-time domain buyer, but I use PRpowershot (software) and SwiftDrops (website). Both are paid.

There are many paid tools that make you search through many domain providers for expired domain. You can manually search them at godaddy and dynadot.

I had used 35$ per month subscription of domainpeeker and found it good at performance but not what i would recommend for 35$.

Thanks for posting these sites - good to know what people are using.
What are people using to check the number of backlinks that these domains have? I wouldn't want to buy one before knowing this - and now that Yahoo Site Explorer has gone offline, I'm not sure what the best (ideally free) way to check this reliably is.
I've heard of paid tools like Majestic SEO, and know that Bing Webmaster Tools can be used for your own sites - but not sure about research like this.

    Check the site RegisterCompass. com

This is a paid program, but it can save you a lot of time and is useful. It allows you to search by using many different parameters – incoming links, page rank, alexa, indexed pages, traffic & visitors, and others. It also checks for fake page rank.

I guess you are looking for something like this. Good luck!

BigRock is an ICANN-Accredited Domain Name Registrar that sells Domains at the most competitive rates in the industry (upto 80% lesser than other Registrars). BigRock's platform powers over 4.5 million domains. You can register cheap domains by looking out for our Domains on Sale.

I Suggest guys here to Stay off with BigRock.Bad Support, Slow Processing. Godaddy and namecheap are 100x better than BigRock.

For Expired domains i use: expireddomains.net

I am currently using expired domains.net and using godaddy to buy them. So far I am ok with the results.
Although a much better UI in the website would be nice.

Well I recommend my service DDrop - Number 1 Resource For High PR Domains as we have unique metrics others don't such as Facebook shares and Tweets per domain.

    Features:

    - Finds high PR REAL domains that are ready to buy for $5
    - Over 150,000 domains in database
    - Fake and real pagerank checker
    - Age information on all domains
    - Backlinks information on all domains
    - Amount of Tweets and FB Shares of the domain
    - Daily updated database (I completely truncate the table then rebuild with new data)

I've had some success using GoDaddy Auctions and buying expiring domains.

It costs like 20 bux a year, but lets you search through domains for auction, and filter to expiring. There are a lot of useful other filters like tld, characters, length of domain, age and some.

The best part is if a domain you bid on that's expiring is renewed, you don't pay a thing. Otherwise you pay the auction fee and renewal for one year.

Is this place up to date for the most part? Everytime I check on the Domains they are already registered. Maybe I'm just to slow.

Update: I was actually able to find some good Domains that where available after looking for a while. Thank you for this post.

Does anyone know of a way to check the Domain for penalization from Google?
