Amazon Associates disclaimer

I have a question regarding the Amazon Associates disclaimer.

The disclaimer which Amazon say we need to put when advertising products, does this only need to be put on our own sites which we host or do we also need to put it if we promote Amazon products at places such as Squidoo, blogger, etc..

Just to be safe I would use the disclaimer where I have any virtual real estate that has an amazon affiliate link on it. It shouldn't be a big deal until you start making more and more commissions. So I say better to be safe than sorry.

    Thats a really good question.

I have a general disclaimer on all of my sites. PLUS I have the specific Amazon disclaimer required by them.

As far as Squidoo goes, if you use Squidoo's Amazon modules you are selling through their link not your own so you would not need to add one. Not sure about requirements if you use your own links.

I'd put the disclaimer pretty much anywhere I promote Amazon products. They can be a bit draconian (like Google) and ban you for any perceived infringement of their rules.

    All the best

Sorry for being a complete 'noob', but what exactly should be placed in a disclaimer? Is there somewhere I can copy/paste into my website and place on a a separate page? Or am I risking 'duplicate text' which will hit me in the SERPs?

      Thanks

I just copied and pasted what Amazon has on their site (scroll down to #10) https://affiliate-program.amazon.com...tes/agreement/

and ADDED it to my regular disclosure...

"SITENAMEXXXX is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com, endless.com, smallparts.com and/or myhabit.com."

        Hope that helps.
