Best Way to Get Users Into a Sales Funnel?

Hi -

I've got a new blog project. I did a nice one pager "checklist" as a givaway to start building the list, but I think I should have something more.

I want to dump them right into an auto responder series.

So - my question for you all...

How many of you are using PLR for an AR series?

OR -

Do you use a one-time special report type giveaway, and then send them emails after the fact anyway?

What have you found most effective to get users into your sales funnel?

Thanks for any shared ideas!

Well, to build your list you should give away something of great value and make sure you make it clear to the user that they will receive a lot of rare/valuable information from your emails. If you think that PLR is a good eye catcher then use PLR.

I'd always give away something of value and with PLR there is always the risk the person has got it from somewhere else which can ruin your chance of building a good relationship with them.

Set up a high quality squeeze page with a decent giveaway on it and you will find you get people in to your sales funnel

    All the best

I think your basic premise is right but just a 1 page check list is a bit thin to then start marketing to people right off the bat. If you set up an auto responder series why don't you create some short videos that expand on the check list then drip feed these to your list. After 3 or 4 e mails that send them to the videos start to slip in affiliate products or paid products of your own (your could use PLR but I would re engineer the PLR to make it unique).
What you need to do is create trust by giving something of value that people remember you by and dont just unsubsribe.
Using simple Video such as power points and screen capture are really easy to do but have a much higher perceived value than short PDf reports (assuming they have quality content)
      hope this helps

After your sales funnel is set up-

    1) Provide tremendous value upfront. Give away some of your best material for free through your blog, articles on directories or guest blogging, podcasts, videos, free PDF's, etc.

(You can also build a buyers list from selling a front-end product, like a WSO for example, but you usually need some credibility first for people to trust you.)

    2) Drive traffic to your content- solo ads, ppc, ad swaps, guest blogging, article marketing, video marketing, forum posting, seo, etc.

    3) Ask for the opt-in (ask them then tell they why they should opt-in)

4 Continue to build relationships with them through an autoresponder series, your social media presence, and updating your blog or whichever avenue you pursue for step 1.

A one pager sounds a bit too thin to get an opt-in. PDF reports of 1000 words generally work all right. Even better if you can give them something they can immediately put to use, like templates or software scripts.

For the AR series, I recommend you start by sending them emails that tell stories that reveal who you are. You need to bond emotionally with your list before you can expect them to buy anything from you or listen to you. So do this for a couple of emails before you promote anything.
