Need a basic autoresponder that doesn't need an opt-in

I need some advice guys, here's my situation:

I have an offline business that generates leads online from my own website and a few others (max 50 a day). I take these leads and reply directly to the customers by phone and email.

ATM I have been just storing the emails in an excel file but I want to be able to send out 2 maybe 3 more emails max to these leads after my initial contact.

The problem is that I don't want to have to make these people opt in..again. I only want to send them max of 3 emails about my company and the service they requested. I'm not interested in backend sales right now. The information that I'm initially requesting from my lead generation form is quite extensive..takes about 2 mins to fill out so integration with an autoresponder may be difficult.

I don't know why it's so hard to find a system that allows me to import easily and setup without an opt-in.

Any suggestions?

at the moment , I don't think you'll be able to do it. Most AR companies will ask for conformation message again

I don't know how you could only import addresses without an opt-in, but you can set your opt-in as single, without them having to confirm the subscription.

    Thanks for the respones.

How was your delivery rates with sandblaster/mailchimp?

Opinions on Interspire for this? Concerned about domain blacklisting with it, but if I remember right if you set up domain keys on your server this shouldn't be a problem. It's been a couple years since I checked though, is this still the case?

GetResponse is a good choice to go with I use them. Almost all of the autoresponders out there use some form of opt-in. However, with GetResponse it's just a single opt-in and not a double opt-in You can import up to 2,500 new contacts a day on their cheapest plan.

Thanks, I just took a look and on their cheapest plan it says "UP TO 1,000 SUBSCRIBERS"
Is that number just the amount of people who have subscribed as opposed to the 2500 contacts a day as you mentioned?

Their faq on delivery rates is vague, would you guess it's 98 percent or better?

Also, watched the getresponse video on exporting, do you know if I decide to export this list to a csv and go with aweber in the future, will I have to do an opt-in again? Thanks again

Yes you'll have to get confirmations from them if you import to aweber.

There isn't really a way round this...I know because I had a similar problem a year or so ago.

        Hi Deftcat1,

Our delivery rate as reported by Return Path is 99%.

If your list is opt-in and you want to avoid having to reconfirm it, you can contact our support team and ask them to have the compliance team test the list. If the list is healthy, they can elect to waive the reconfirmation.

As for the total susbcribers and max imports. 1000 is the total number of subscribers and 2,500 is the max number you can import per day. So depending on how many you import you may have to move up to the next rate depending on what your total subscribers become after that import. Think of it as you might think of an ATM daily withdrawal limit (although in this case it's a deposit sort of ).

If you move a list most ESPs will want to reconfirm it.

Feel free to email or call our support group, they'll be happy to answer questions or ping me.

        Regards,
        jim

    Hi Deftcat,

Why not produce a small report. Email your leads and offer it to them
by getting them to opt in to a conventional autoresponder.

    They'll confirm opt in...job sorted!

Thanks Helisell. Was thinking a bonus and/or a contest for the opt-in

I think Aweber only allows 50 or so new contacts a day (?) , so I'm figuring the best method would be to e-mail them directly with the Aweber opt-in with a bonus as enticement. Unless someone has another creative suggestion?
