Alarming email from a subscriber that made me laugh

Wow, this is really funny, crass and rude.

I can't share all of the details of the message for obvious reasons, but it went something like this..

"Hay, f***er
Nobody can become ______________ it's false and cannot be true."

He actually spelled hey "hay", and I'm not really sure what he was mad about. I've gotten great feedback from my subscribers on this one particular list, so I guess I have to laugh.

Maybe I should email him back and show him where the unsubscribe button is?

Anyone else have any memorable cranky emails that they could share?

  • For irrational replies like that, the best thing you can do
    is...

    Unsubscribe them yourself.

Usually, people reply to you from the 'offending' e-mail
they received, so just go to the bottom of the message
and hit the unsubscribe link for them.

If not, search for their e-mail in your list database and
    then unsubscribe them.

You'll then have one less irrational subscriber to cause
    you unnecessary hassle.

    Dedicated to mutual success,

    Shaun

    • Thanks Shaun,

Yes I will, and I hope this post doesn't offend anyone . Interestingly enough...now that I look back over my emails, this same person had actually contacted me before just a few days ago with impeccable grammar and writing thanking me for helping and providing great information.

He must have rolled out of bed funny or something.

  • hahah that's great stuff.

I'm just delving into the world of list building and relationship management

...is this one of the joys I have to look forward to?

    Have a good day

    • No it's not, and I hope it doesn't deter anyone from starting a list. I deal one-on-one with people. It can be a lot of work, but I love the feeling that I'm really helping so I do answer emails and keep up with folks.

This is a first for me
  • I had an unsubscribe from my list the other day, with the reason for unsubscribing "F*** your f***ing scam"

Like yourself, I have a good relationship with my list & good feedback, and never do promote anything remotely scammy, so I'm not that worried.

I guess your guy wasn't the only one that rolled out of bed funny...

    • Wow, their usage of the F-word is so artful.

I have a feeling that this thread will be locked pretty soon, but part of me hopes that it stays open, because it's a nice laugh and break from everything.
  • Yes - here's one

    Well Mr.Segal

This looks all bull**** to me and every
time i click on some link it is only asking
to register and let know my credit card
number or pay through paypal. If your are
a sincere samaritan, why does your links
give free. Whereas I have already paid
Rs1500/- to Mr. LI Johnson who seems to be
a fraud and son of *****. Sorry that I
have to be rude because people like you are
only corrupting the world and extracting
the hard earned money from the needy. I
wonder one day you will be behind bars and
    the day is very soon.

Amazingly he signed it with "Best Regards"

lol ... and assmonkeys like this will keep signing up to lists.
  • Ha funny there. There is one who asked me where i got her email from (yet she had subscribed). I did not know how to answer that one sure.
  • You're always going to get a few nut cases on your list... I remember unsubscribing one such person myself and he proceeded to continue emailing me to complain about the unsubscription!
  • I am with you in this laughter.... He may be pretty annoyed by receiving daily e-mails etc.. So better to unsubscribe this type of customers yourself.......

    All the best.......
  • How come none of the people that wrote these crass emails in the examples given know how to use proper grammar? Perhaps there is a connection...either way these did make me laugh so some good came of it.
  • oh man some funny stuff here.

My story is not that funny but did make me think some people have too much time on there hands.

Someone entered their email address in the subscribe to updates form, but hit reply before confirming the opt in to say "no I won't subscribe thnaks" then replied again with the same message but this time spelling thanks correctly.

I suppose they didn't want to look like an idiot?

    • What is irrational anymore?

A couple in New York recently sued their son's preschool because they claimed the preschool was not preparing him to get into Harvard?

(come to think of it...it might be the same guy )

Some people are just like that
  • If you don't get hate mail you're not trying hard enough

There's a shocking amount of people out there with too much time on their hands who hate to see other people succeeding.

Hate mail means you're doing something right.

  • Hay dude, I tole you not to post my email to you - that was pirsonal.

just kidding - that was a funny one though
  • Yeah I would unsubscribe him myself

    • haha yeah dude, you'll get these every once in a while. althgouh i haven't really recieved one in quite a bit. it really depends on what type of emaisl you're sending out. If you're always just "spamming" and promoting non stop, then you'll probably get alot more of these types of responses.

I would just delete em. Don't pay them any attention. There will always be haters! Don't let them ruin your day or business progress.

I've had lots of "F#@@@ You's". I even had one guy talk about how he owned a few small businesses (questionable) and was really successful. I think successful people wouldn't even waste their time responding to these emails
  • I think that subscriber is tired of wasting money on all the clickbank IM bull**** products

  • sometimes I think subscribers go through there emails when they are drunk which would account for the change in their manner and attitude.
