Hey there Warriors! i was just thinking going into email marketing. And for the promotional methods i wanna use ppc, well everything except SEO as i am so tired of doing SEO for my blogs

Ok, so i was wondering if i should go with a multi page site like this with articles and free tips that then leads to the opt-in (don't know how to explain it but you will if you check out the site)
doubleyourdating.com

Or a 1 page squeeze page like this one.

All insights, critic and help is greatly appreciated!

also, i'm considering the fitness or gaming niche as that is the ones i know much about, but how would you monetize a gaming email list?

Also, i have a facebook script that when people connect with my app, they get on my email list, i get their interests and detailed demographics and access to post to their wall. This could be used as a 1 click opt-in instead of a form, what do you think about that?

If you are not doing SEO then why not just do a 1 page squeeze, you will get a better opt-in. Double Your Dating used to be just a one page squeeze, in fact it was one of the best converting pages online. But Google started cracking down on squeeze pages, so now if you want to rank you need to add more value to your site....which is why doubleyourdating.com has changed. BUT if you are just going to use paid traffic sources then you can do a one page squeeze and call it good.

      A higher opt-in, not a better one, I found.

I split-tested this in each of four unrelated niches over a 6-month period. In all four, I built a bigger list with the squeeze-page than with my normal landing-pages with an opt-in on a content-rich site, but in all four I earned more from the lists built from my normal landing-pages, and less from the squeeze page lists.

I'm not suggesting that my results will apply to everyone. I'm simply suggesting that the assumption that the biggest list leads to the biggest income is a very unwise one ... and that there are actually some identifiable reasons why the exact opposite may be the case.

Good point, "higher" is definitely a more accurate word choice than "better"

        Very interesting write up Alexa.
This has been my gut feeling, but not shared with too many IM'ers I think.
Would love to know more about your tests!

Split test several and there's your answer, based on data and not on speculation.
