Being an Expert In One Field Not Every Field

In my opinion a lot of the reasons why people don't make money online is because their trying to be the best in every field and their giving themselves the short hand. What they should honestly be doing is focusing just on one area and mastering that one area.

If you've been having issues with making money online then try and narrow down an area that you would like to be known as an expert in.

The area I chose was being a great affiliate marketer by leveraging Facebook advertisements. Then creating products that showed people how to be great affiliate marketers too. I don't want to master cpa offers or anything else like that just one area.

So correct, that is why I always say, what I do or I pay a vworker to do it. I am a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Your right about that. I come up with the ideas and then just send them to a virtual assistant to do the work. Focus on the things that I enjoy doing.

I agree with you. That is why so many people fail, they try to offer so many different services, but all of them arent up to par. But with the amount of competition on the internet, I can understand why people try to do it all.

Excellent point, Justice. It's a good reminder. I would add that there's value in teaching the process to others, not just applying what you learn to your own business. What I mean is, you can capitalize on your acquired expertise to both build a business utilizing that knowledge and earn money teaching the process to others. If that's your cup of tea. It's not for some people, but it bears mentioning, especially in the IM niche.

Your totally right John. Teaching what you have knowledge on is an amazing thing. I know what I have done is when I feel that I've grown knowledge in my field I teach my best friend the information that I've learned. He has no clue about internet marketing at all so if he can understand and apply the information that I've taught him in the same sequences then I know I'm going from student to teacher.

Totally agree. It's very under-rated to know your strengths and weaknesses and then partner with someone who's strength is your weakness or outsource your weaknesses and/or improve them.

Your very right Paul. Outsource the things you hate and do the things you love and have a drink while your at it.

Hey, you got a great point here. I found out for myself that I can't advertise a product because I don't know anything about it and then, when its too late, I realize that my website is not going to make me any money... But as they say its better late than never, and I've just decided to finally concentrate on one thing and become a professional on that (its not IM, but hopefully I'll still make some money in the future). If this thread will be still alive I will report back with my success stories. Wish me luck

I want to hear about your success, challenges, and anything else that might go along with it. Email me Justice@Justicewordlaw.com. With products I try and learn as much information about the product at first and then do a webinar or a interview with the product creator to leverage a bigger audience base.

I agree - I strongly believe it is only possible to be a master in one field. You can have knowledge about others, but to be in a position of command takes a lot of time and effort. A lot of people aim for too much, and end up succumbing to their own ambitions. It's best to focus on one aspect, and outsource the rest to experts in other fields. That is the only way one can build a perfect business, in my opinion.

You are right on! If you want to make money online, you have to stop jumping from one method to another. Pick one, learn all you can and apply what you have learned and you will make money. But, jump from this method to the next every week and you will not make any money.

Of course, after you established yourself and started earning enough money from one method, then it is wise to pick another method and try to build another income stream as well. So you can have multiple income streams, so if one day one method goes down, you can have backups that will generate you money and let you keep going.

Correct. Find the field you like the most, master it and then teach it. WOW.. and what about the other things you have to do to make it work? Well, outsource it!

    You can't know everything.

    Good post Justice

Information overload / overwhelm is the biggest reason i have not done much yet..Thankfully now focusing on the basics and on one thing at a time. It is ok to be gain expertise in more than one , but only after you master one before moving on to the next , after which you can chain the expertise which are related to grow bigger and better .... very nicely put buddy . Thanks

I started 8 months ago, and i tried to do everything. I did it all bad so now im going to focus on just one thing. Someday i will be able to help other warriors like myself. I now outsource the work i just have the ideas, and content. But im not very good at writing, and web design yet.

I couldn't agree with you more.

I was guilty of this 12 years, and I had to learn the hard way. You can't be and do everything. Stick to what you know and love. After I made these changes, things seem to get a lot easier.
