Why my site gets cached really late?

Hey there, I have noticed that my site pages get cached very late. For example it has been around a week since I updated the description on many of my old product pages but still in google meta description tag, it is showing the same old meta description.

I thought Google loves unique content, at least it has been my experience from past few years.

A week is nothing, give it more time.

If you're adding unique content frequently, typically Ive found Google will adjust to this automatically.

You can use a revist meta tag within your sites code, but Im not quite sure how effective this is, as I havent tested it.

Okay I will now start adding unique content everyday and will notice if google adjusts accordingly.

Be mindful that if you intend on adopting this approach that you'll most likely have to be adding content frequently, over the long term, as adding content frequently for a few days or weeks, probably wont make any difference.

As an example, warriorforum.com is crawled CONSTANTLY, with content being indexed typically in minutes, because the content is constantly being added to.

Alternatively, a site that has its content updated maybe once every 6 months, wont reflect the same caching behaviours.

Im sure there are other considerations or ways, perhaps some more Warriors might chip in on this one.

My dear I don't know if I am allowed to post it or not here but here is what you need... I guarantee google is going to index your pages within 24 hours of change/editing/submission... You just have to follow this simple step.....

Add your website to google webmasters and adjust the crawl rate to faster.... Though not extreme fast but between medium and fast and see the results

    All the best

Yep, ramone_johnny is absolutely correct. Keep posting content frequently and after some time, new content that you post will be cached regularly, fast.

I have a few sites where we add 3-5 posts every day, and have been doing so for the last few months. Nowadays, everything gets indexed and cached within 4-6 hours from the time of posting.
