Having trouble with CJ

Hey guys,

I just recently signed up with Commission Junction and I am having a little problem getting merchants.

I like the fact that CJ has great selection of mainstream merchants but so far the only one that has accepted me is Best Buy. Other big names like guitar center, zappos, and bass pro shops have all denied me a long with several others.

Can anyone give me tips on how to get accepted by these big name guys? Thanks!

Hi, CJ.com sometimes seems more a CPA than an Affiliate Program.
The key of all, for me, is inserting a good website during signup, and then choosing just the offers who have something in common with your niche.
Otherwise it's difficult to be accepted.

    Hi,

I had a client who had a very well developed and popular fashion blog. They had a huge audience and still many merchants that used CJ rejected them! They never got an explanation so it was all a mystery.

You can contact the specific merchant you wnt to apply, tell them that even if you're still new to CJ, you're serious to do business with them... You can contact the merchants inside CJ website, or you can contact them via their own website.. tell them your CJ ID.

I am reasonably sure that the merchants are able to see how many sales you have made, or at least a range that you fall into. I have noticed for sure that it is much easier getting approved after having sold $100 in commissions than before.

Either way, if you have a good idea or site just hit up the Affiliate manager directly and they will most likely approve you.

Try amazon as an alternative. Commission Junction is ok I guess but there are a lot better options too many hoops to jump through with them.

Why go through all the b.s. if you don't have too?

With any affiliate program nowadays you will get shot down quick if you have no track record. You will need to email there affiliate team and show them your website. You will also have to sell them. I just got into cpa and was rejected by most, and accepted after the email I sent to them by most.
