Does anyone know of ezine sites I can submit my articles to? I know ezine articles and directory of ezines. But Im looking for e-zines that are targeted to what I am promoting.. Instead of writing article after article in "article directories" Im looking for targeted ezines..

    Sure ... of course.

Well, I know you mentioned it already, but honestly there's no better overall source of these than the Directory of Ezines

    Hi Alexa

I know but I read a thread in here people have posted that in the directory of ezines its not updated regularly.. links are broken ect.. so to me its not worth paying for the membership. My goal is to get my articles syndicated..of course I am doing kw research too.. I know about ezine articles but ezine is not what it used to be.. If I post my article in a directory chances are its not going to be found.. I am looking for targeted traffic..better to write ONE good article rather than write article after article in "directories"...

I can only say that I think, if you ask 20 of its subscribers here whether it's worth paying for the membership, that all 20 (including - I guess - the person who actually started the thread you refer to above) will say "yes".

      Yes, understood ...

Well, they can be picked up that way. It was how I started. Most of mine which eventually get a copy dumped in EZA do get syndicated from there, in fact. But it's also precarious, slow-moving, and comparatively unreliable, of course, and clearly nobody's going to suggest that you should depend on passive syndication only.

They're not mutually exclusive. You can write a few good ones and eventually submit them to EZA too, after they've gone anywhere/everywhere else. I agree, of course, that mass submission to article directories is a complete waste of time and energy.

Anyway, the bottom line here is that I know of no other source comparable to the DoE, I'm afraid. Maybe others will.

Have you considered using a service like SubitYourArticle.com?

For a small monthly payment they will submit your article
across a massive network of websites.

It will save you a lot of time and get you a great result.

I have the DoE and--for what it's worth--the investment of $197 is worthwhile.

Although they don't list a huge number of e-zines within every niche - it is a good starting point to finally get your articles syndicated if you've been procrastinating. When you've exhausted one niche then you can move onto others contained within the DoE, OR you can use a SE to find more relevant websites pertaining to your chosen niche.

The DoE isn't the be-all and end-all, but it's an excellent starting point for an avid syndicator.

    Best of luck.

Yep, there aren't lots of ezines, and I don't want to came across as unsatisfied, but there are soooo many ezines out of date! and they aren't the ones with low circulation, quite on the contrary, they have lots of subscribers.

I've heard though Charlie Page is doing a major overhaul of the ezines listed, I do hope he keeps his promise, otherwise I have to issue a refund (for my niche, most of the ezines are out of date)

Yeah, I agree with all of the above warriors. DoE is cool but it needs version 2 now
Hope Charles will do that soon.
Currently, I am too not able to find any other good place for ezines.

I actually use DOE daily to get good sources and to help with syndication.

However there is a time when I will just go hunting, for the big dogs, and journals, trade directories, blogs, and other sites.

What I am looking for are the big dogs, and the most targeted place I know my customers are at. Remember making sales and getting subscribers or eyeballs to your site is all about your most valueable and targeted customer. You must spend a bit of time looking for these places because they do not just stick out like a sore thumb, unless you are looking in DOE.

Sometimes you have to go a little bit outside the square you are in. At least that is what I do, and we have some good resources now. We have actually been doing article syndication for a while now, but it is only just starting to get big. I would not bother blasting article directories. While it will help, and you will see results, it is not what I call being a smart article marketer.

Remember to make money its about working smarter not harder. Hope this helps.

is the $197 fee all you have to pay? or do you have to pay the person that has the ezine you want to submit to?

If you're talking about articles, then usually you don't have to pay the ezine publishers for your article to be published. However, if you want your solo ad (or top sponsor ad, banner ad, etc) to be published by a certain ezine, then DOE membership fee doesn't include the price of publishing the solo ad.

Wait, wait - I was just about to purchase the Directory of Ezines. But I'm concerned to hear people saying that there aren't many ezines in each niche. I would really like answers to the following, if anyone can provide them:

    1. How many ezines in the IM niche?

    2. How many ezines in the weight loss niche?

    3. How many ezines in the dating niche?

I would be really disappointed to spend the $197 and then discover that major niches like these don't have tons of ezines available.

At the time of me writing this, it stands as:

      Advertising/Marketing - 155
      Biz Opp - 80
      MLM/Network Marketing - 13
      Internet Marketing - 112
      Health/Health Care/Fitness - 69
Dating - No specific category for dating or relationships.

I'm not entirely sure how these numbers are going to help you - all I can say is that by getting published in only a handful of these ezines--if you go about creating compelling content and a great sales funnel--that you'll make back your investment.

Whilst you may not be thinking that the DoE is worth the initial investment, I can assure you that MANY other fellow warriors (who are doing quite well with article syndication) find it invaluable.

Thanks Matt, I appreciate your providing that info. I guess I thought that the numbers would be higher. For example, with only 69 ezines in the health niche, and a bunch of those listing presumably out of date, it's hard to see how people are building up big syndication networks this way...

The essential point missing here is that massive numbers of ezines are not required to break into any of these niches. Ezines listed in the DOE are highly targeted - originally intended for advertisers. And depending upon the niche, many of the subscribers are themselves publishers of ezines who in turn also have publishers of their own as subscribers.

For well over a decade, the DOE has been a goldmine in targeting ezine publishers for my articles. In my experience, getting published in ezines is far more effective than any other form of advertising; targeted subscribers can number a few hundred to a few hundred thousand, with the added benefit of an implied endorsement from the publishers to their subscribers.

Now tell me out of those :

        1) How many of them accepts articles?
        2) How many of them still publishes ezine?
        3) How many of them are up to date?
        4) How many of them have big targeted subscribers list?

I was able to find only 1 website in weight loss niche that was useful.

Although there is a big list of ezines in each niche, very few of them are useful.

For example : 100 ezines list is given in a niche.
Out of that about 50-60 will accept the articles. (others will accept only paid advertisement).
Out of that 50 websites, about 15-20 will give 404 error/server down, another 15-20 websites will be very old (not updated in past years), another 10-15 websites will be just simple blogs with high alexa/semrush rank. (although alexa rank is not the exact measurement of traffic but still you can get an idea of how much traffic a website is receiving if alexa rank is above 1 million),

In the last if you're lucky you will find 1 or 2 websites that will be suitable for syndication. Also the main thing is that editors of those websites should accept your articles or else all your hard word fails.

The above situation is in most of the niches. Internet Marketing is an exception as it contains many websites that will fulfill the criteria. Other niches ezine are mostly dead.

This is my personal experience and may differ from other. In my case, you are better off finding good syndication places by your own using different methods.

Buzzblogger has a very good article on it. Kurt has also shown a very good method for finding good syndication places using scarebox : http://www.warriorforum.com/adsense-...ndication.html

        Kind Regards,
