Why Don't Links To My Ezine Articles Show In Google?

Recently I have been building links to some of my articles on Ezinearticles by using other article directories such as Goarticles, blogs, squidoo lenses etc. However, when I use link:ezinearticleurl Google states that my articles have no backlinks pointing towards them.

Am I doing something wrong? Or has Google just decided to curse me?

What other ways do you suggest building links to your Ezinearticles so they rank higher in Google?

When you do your link: check you'll notice at the bottom of the listing of your EA article a link that says "Similar Pages". If you click on that it will show what other pages (and URLs) are linking to your original article.

    1. Google doesn't necessarily show all links.
    2. If a google spider hasn't crawled the pages linking to it it won't know they're there. It's not like google is omniscient, they need to find the links first.

Google has never shown all links. Try the same in yahoo and see what you come up with.

Is is fair to say that if you are building links to pages with moderate PR (2-5), they are going to eventually find you link?

Nope, not always. Google sucks IMO when it comes to finding backlinks. Yahoo on the other hand finds most of them.
