The importance of Product Selection (Clickbank)

I thought I'd share this with you, because I was shocked at the difference between the 2 products I promoted in the exact same way.







All I literally did was replace the links in my email marketing follow up messages, and obviously the authors names.

In my opinion the sales page of the poorer converting product is much cleaner and I thought it would convert better, but I was completely wrong. The gravity of the better converting product is slightly above 4, and the gravity of the poorer converting product is around 37.

    Interesting - thanks.

    I must say, from my own experience, those would be fairly typical findings, in so far as one can predict anything at all from gravity. Almost all my own best-sellers/best-converters (as an affiliate, I mean) have had gravities around 2/3/4. A gravity of 37 isn't really too high to put me off, though.

    Any theories as to "why" this might be the case?

    ...other than the Gravity metric itself being little more than "a load of bologna"?
