New website money maker

by miqy2eyes 6 replies
Hi everyone,
I have just started out with website making and am learning as I go along. I'm trying to work out how to remove the date from my website Nintendo Wii Cheats
located in the top left corner. I am using Wordpress if that helps.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

The site is at nintendo-wiicheats . com

This looks to me like it would require editing the theme you're using in the wordpress blog. I'm not an expert in this area and would hate to give you advice that broke your site.

        - = Signature on Vacation = -
(We all need a break from what we do for a living. I thought it was time my signature got a break too)

I went and looked at your page, now I know what you are talking about.

Go into your admin of your blog.

If you are using 2.5 and up click on settings in the upper right.

Go into the link on the left that says design then
          click on theme editor.

On the right you will see all of the pages when you choose a page
the code is displayed on the left. Before you change anything
copy it and put it on note pad.

I am not sure because everybody does things differently, but you may
want to look at the main index template first, because this clock and date
are not showing up on any other page.

It maybe some where else, you are looking for something that refers to
clock and/or date. When you find it delete the <divXXXXX</div>.

Then save your changes, go to your site and reload it or refresh it and
          see if it's gone.

If not put back the saved page you have in note pad and try again.

Or go to script lance and pay somebody $5.00 to fix it.

Or look up Johnny Slatter in the members dir and ask him to do it for you.

          Good luck
