Using Amazon to send targeted buyers to my list...

Hello Warriors, I wanted to post a thread today about a method I have been using to really build up my list and then use to make sales downstream.

I've been lurking around and reading posts on the warrior forum for quite a while now and I've gotten so much helpful information here that I wanted to share my little bit of knowledge and give a tiny bit of what I've received back. Apologies if I ramble a bit, this is my first ever thread here so please be patient with me....

I won't pretend to know a lot about IM, in fact I'd say I know less than most people on this forum but I stumbled across a method that I've been using to both build my list full of buyers and also make some sales.

I have been selling ebooks through Amazon as I think it's a great way to find targeted buyers who are hungry and ready to spend. Amazon gets huge monthly traffic - estimates I've checked always clock in at over 100 million.

Since I've been writing my ebooks but don't know a lot about PPC, SEO, or other traffic generation I decided to try and leverage Amazon and let them do all the hard work for me

So I put my ebook on sale for a low price - anything around $3. I had them on sale for a dollar but I found they weren't selling too well. I guess people perceive the higher price to be a sign of better quality. My ebooks aren't very long but I make sure that they answer the problem that the buy has. Clear and to the point.

When someone buys an ebook and they open it up they find a thank you page with a link to my membership site where they can claim their free gifts. Usually these are 2 other ebooks which I have on sale on Amazon. This entices them over to my squeeze page where they join my list. After which I send them an autoresponder sequence with relevant further training on whatever niche they are interested in.

During these emails I politely offer them upsells.....this is where the money is made These upsells are a huge value pack of tonnes of related ebooks, most of which are just MRR or PLRs. They can purchase these for the OTO which is $27.

I'm getting a good take up on this - around 20% on average. You see I'm not really interested in the Amazon sales, these are purely for the function of getting me highly targeted buys to click through and join my list. It's then I go to work through the autoresponder sequence and set them up for the upsell....

I've been finding that this system works well and takes a lot of the hassle out of finding targeted buyers. Amazon is full of buyers (obviously) so all you have to do is put up some good quality ebooks and off you go.

And don't think that writing ebooks is hard, you'd be surprised how easy it is once you get going and there's lots of great information out there that you can adapt and put your own spin on.

So....that's it Warriors - it's a very general overview but that's how I've been using Amazon to get targeted BUYERS to sign up to my list.

It sound simple and thankfully for me it is simple

It's nearly 2am here now so I'm off to bed but I'll be back tomorrow if you have any questions about the specifics of what I'm doing.

I hope someone will get some value out of this method and put it to good use for their business.

All the best,

Noel.

Hi Irvan, right now I'm operating in several niches but when I stumbled across this method I was in the Health & Fitness niche.

The key for this to work is to find a sub niche e.g.
Your interested in writing a Weight Loss ebook
This is a huge niche with lots of competition so you'll have to narrow it down a bit....

You might want to target men over 50 as you sub niche - this way your getting even more specific targeted buyers. You know EXACTLY what they're after i.e. they are over 50 and want to lose weight. This will help you give them more specific, quality content to help them and will thus lead to you becoming a trusty adviser.

Got an nice email from a veteran warrior saying that they're could be a useful WSO in this idea. I think I'll take his advice and start working on a product detailing exactly how I do use this method to grow my list and then upsell down the line.

There are a couple of things that I incorporate that make my amazon products stand out and gives my page a sense of authority. Once I did these few tweaks my amazon leads shot up, I think anything to differentiate yourself from the masses will equate to you getting more sales and then buyers on your list.

Maybe I'll just put together a pack with some "how to...." pdf's and some video clips - would probably be a lot easier to follow that me trying to explain here in the thread - what do you think?

    Noel, you're a fraud...

You say "I won't pretend to know a lot about IM, in fact I'd say I know less than most people on this forum" and then lay out a very simple, elegant method just about anyone can use.

You know a lot more than you think, new friend. Well done.

Ha ha thanks for your kind words John. It's just I know there are so many talented folks on this forum that I don't what to kid myself into thinking I know more than the average Joe.

The way I stumbled onto this idea I wasn't sure if I was the last guy at the party and Everyone one else was already doing it! Glad some of you guys have found it interesting....I guess I'm after learning a bit more that I thought from surfing the WF

This is a great idea and something I have been toying with myself. In fact I have two books in the works for this. My plan is to use my pen name as the author name and the name of my website as the publisher. I have links to my site on the title page of the books and at the end of the books I will have a blurb describing the benefits of joining my list.

Do you have any other advice on how to use this method?

Hey Dan, I think that's a good idea you have about using a pen name for the book and then your real name for your publishing site. What I've been doing is using different pseudonyms for each niche that I'm writing ebooks for.

That way you are putting yourself forward as an Expert in that particular area and won't come across as a "Jack of all trades but Master of None"

The key to these ebooks is to over deliver big time! If someone buys a $3 ebook that delivers $20 of quality content then they will be great-full for the value and much more likely to pop on over to your site - optin - and become part of your list.

    Noel,

    Thanks for the contributions.

Keep tweaking and build on that foundation…

TIP: Duplicate the exact same method by getting your ebooks into “Barns and Noble (nook) Google Ebooks and if possible into the android books market..

Continue to put the books out there and it will be passive for life

    GREAT JOB!!

    Hey Marriner

Great post. This is something I've been thinking of for a while....thought with a book published on Create SPace rather than Kindle.

Would definitely be intrigued to see you put a pack together on this.
