Product Creation Gurus - How Do You Get.....

Images or videos Illustrating how to do "what your product is about"

I've listened to webinars that suggest contacting experts to interview for the ebook content which is fine but none of them ever seem to mention the method they use to get videos and pictures of someone actually doing it.

Does anyone know of a resource where i could buy "how to" videos/images?
Does any such resource exist?
How do you get yours?

Thanks in advance.

I don't think you were as clear as you could of been. Do you mean for the actual sales video, or the actual product and inside the product contains the demonstration videos?

Hi. I mean't videos or images that go into the main product itself. NOT the sales video.

For example: a video of someone baking a cake. or Images of someone building a shed.

      Thanks.

Youtube is a great resource for how to videos.

I would approach the video owner and offer to buy the rights to use their videos. You could offer just about any price because most video owners on youtube are not monetizing the videos anyway.

If they are not willing to share the videos then go to an outsource worker, have them watch the video and remake it for you.

You could do the same thing with books. Send the book to your outsourcer and have them create videos out of it using their own words

    hope this helps

Buy yourself a digital camera (most shoot HD video as well) and take your own pics. Otherwise grab something off istockphotos

I'm not sure if I quite understand your question, but for free "how-to" videos, video sharing sites such as Youtube are a great source of such videos.

The best thing you can do is create the video yourself and brand it with your own or your company's name.

When creating your own information product it's just that, you create it. If that means including videos then you are the one who does them. In your example, someone baking a cake and if that's one of your product then guess what... Put on an apron, get in your kitchen and shoot a video. It's not hard... just do it, practice and get it done. Doing the best job YOU absolutely can is good enough, you know? Don't let this hold you back, do it yourself.

I was going to say the exact thing that Mike said above pretty much word for word! Great advice, make it happen.

The best way is to take the pictures/ videos yourself, or pay someone to do it for you. That way, the pictures or video will be unique to your product.

Use free stock photos for the images. The text will be the interview part. If I were you I would record the whole interview, then hire someone on Fiverr to transcribe it to text, then just take this Word doc file and turn it into a pdf file with the images you got from royalty free photos.

We use to use that site expert village. But there are lots of way to crate products, you do not just have to sit down with a guru and interview him.

not really sure what your question is here, you were not really clear.

Only 4 ways I know of:

    1. DIY - for example we have several screen shot and some video camera shots of us doing various "how-to" instructional lessons - pretty simple to do these days with a <$500 video camera, some basic video editing software you can create your own how to videos or pictures

    2. Hire someone - you tell them what you want them to say/do, they do it for a fee (Fiverr, elance, vWorker, etc...

    3. Use stock footage - Stock footage is available that may suit your needs, you can look quickly there first

    4. Pull it off of YouTube though this is my least favorite method...have only used this for some affiliate marketing websites, never in my own infoproducts unless they were my own videos
