Looking for Advice/Suggestions

I've been doing IM for fun and (minor) profit for years and am looking to step it up over the course of 2012. Here's my plan of action, I'd like to get some advice on it and any suggestions anyone may have.
I own about 8 domains now with which I'm making a small amount of money each month with adsense and a membership site. 5 of the domains are not really being used for anything. I also write articles and things like that just to earn some extra money which I plan to use to invest into other sites over the year.
Here's my plan:
Take one of my domains which is in a decent niche ('green' living / environment). I've put on word press and will be adding 10-25 articles (100% unique, good quality). The articles will be SEO optimized for some good keywords. This should take me a couple weeks at most. At this point I'll stop working on this particular site and hand it over to my VA for continued content building and SEO work.
While my VA continues to work on this site I will begin the process over with another site on one of my other domains (school/education niche), repeating the process.
In 2 months I will add on adsense (to the green/environment site) to start earning a little money from the site as it continues to get more content added by my VA.
Basically keep repeating the process until all 6 of my domains which are not being used much have been started up (total of about 3 at most of my time, plus my VA doing regular work on them).
Once the sites begin getting good traffic (1000+ unique visitors per day is what I'm thinking for now) I'll remove adsense and create a $5-10 informational product which I'll write myself.
Of course, I'll also start new sites and buy new domains as I have time and can find good options. I usually try to buy one domain every time godaddy has the $1 domain coupon available.
Thoughs? Suggestions? Is this a good plan for 2012?
Also, what kind of monthly earnings should I estimate by the end of the year would you think?
