If I remember right, I believe you have to have 5 sales from different
people before they will pay you.

This is to protect from fraud.

ooh yest .....somebody just told me the same fact...that means first i have to make 5 sales at least.....obviously they will be from 5 different peoples because one person will not purchase the same product twice.....

Hi - Clickbank has a few requirements that have to be met before you get your first check.

One of those that I know of is that you have to have payments made on your sales from 5 different credit/debit card numbers AND also one payment made through a place like Paypal, BEFORE they will pay you the first time.

After that, you can choose to be paid every two weeks, IF your sales reaches the minimum threshold that often.

Clickbank does this to be safe - so sellers do not just buy their own products through their affiliate links all the time, just to get a discount or to get paid.

I hope this answers your question -

Thanks you cleared my point here.....i was not aware that "vendors can also do fraud with clickbank to increase their gravity and listing on clickbank." thanks again.

It is that 5 different sales from 5 different card numbers game - until you sell at least from 5 different card numbers (so no, repeat customers do not count) you will not get a payment. If your 4 sales have been from 4 different card numbers (I think at least 2 different source types from AMEX, Visa, MasterCard and Paypal) I guess you don't have an option but to wait...

Mahol, forget about getting paid right now and ramp up what you are doing buddy! Once you start getting sales is when you want to roll out more marketing in the same venue if possible. Clickbank has to be cautious about payments because of refunds.

Not long ago I sold some Clickbank stuff, two or three different products I was testing. I sold 5, got paid for three, and didn't get another check for the balance because of refunds. And a few months later, they cancelled my account. It is easy to crank up a new one but when you do start making sales, try hard to keep it up.

Good work, making sales and being successful is what I like to read on this forum.

Could I be so bold as to ask you to share your method? $174 from Clickbank in one day is pretty good. Clickbank has been one of those things that has eluded me. It seems every time I sell a Clickbank product, there are more refunds than sales.

Maybe I'm just not promoting the right products...

Love to hear how you did it.

Guys, please excuse the observation that there are several mistaken statements above, about ClickBank's Customer Distribution Requirement.

The truth is here: Accounting Policy - ClickBank

As you can see, there's no requirement that you have to make sales to five different people.

The requirement is simply for five different credit-card numbers.

The difference between the two can actually be very significant, because (a) if you have a couple of different credit-cards yourself, there's nothing to stop you from buying two different $3/$4 products with them (there are such products), through your own affiliate link (but don't then refund them, whatever you do!!) and those purchases will count toward the CDR, and (b) even if you have no credit-cards yourself, if you have a friend/relative with two or three credit-cards, that person may be willing to make two or three such purchases for you (again, they need not to be refunded!) and these all count as "CDR transactions".

The CDR itself is there not so much to avoid fraud, but to protect affiliates: without it (or something very like it) there would be little to prevent any customer from becoming a ClickBank affiliate and buying through their own link rather than through yours, and earning and being paid their own commission. Note that there's nothing "fraudulent" (or contrary to ClickBank's regulations) in buying through your own affiliate link. But, understandably, they doubtless wouldn't be at all keen on your doing that, qualifying for the CDR accordingly and then requesting a refund! That would be just "asking to be banned".

You should have at least 5 to 7 different people with their credit cards (not Paypal) to buy the product from your affiliate link before CB sends you the check.

This isn't quite right, Dan. May I respectfully suggest reading post #12, above, and especially ClickBank's own parapgraph explaining the CDR (linked to inside that post)?

You mean the same payment method.

Once you get a Visa or ELV sale you'll be oK

(or one further MasterCard + Paypal)

          .

ClickBank will withhold payment of any account balance until the following criteria is met:
    • Sales made with 5 or more different credit card numbers; and,
    • Sales made with two different payment methods (either Visa, MasterCard, PayPal or European Direct Debit(ELV)). Note: PayPal purchases do not count toward the minimum 5 different credit card numbers.
This requirement is in place to help prevent Affiliates from abusing the ClickBank Affiliate program by using their accounts for the sole purpose of fraudulently collecting rebates and/or discounts on their own purchases.
Once you have met the Customer Distribution Requirement, your account will begin issuing payments normally, in accordance with our Accounting Policy, beginning on the next payment issuing date.

I got that from the Clickbank website. I hope it answers your question.

No, you need another credit-card payment, to bring you up to 5 - a PayPal one alone doesn't do that. Visa would do nicely. If it's another "Mstr" one, then you'll also need something like a PayPal one in addition, to cover the requirement for two payment methods.

          Not really ...

          You have 4 Mastercard sales.

You need 5 credit-card sales, and 2 payment methods.

So, a Visa sale will fulfil both those criteria (you don't have a 5th sale or a 2nd payment method and it would give you both).

Another Mastercard sale will fulfil the 5 credit-cards requirement but not the 2 payment methods criterion.

A PayPal sale will fulfil the 2 payment methods criterion but not the 5th credit-card sale criterion.

Not too difficult to understand, surely?

The whole thing is only a few sentences, from its original source: it's short and simple and clearly your English is good enough to read it - Accounting Policy - ClickBank

To do business online, become an internet marketer, and earn a living, the reality is that you have to be able to read the terms of service of people with whom you do business. Otherwise, at some stage, an accident (maybe even a disaster) is inevitable.

That's called "Dormant Accounts". Again, Claire, just like what we're discussing above, it's actually really simple to understand if you just read what they explain about it. In this case, it's here: Accounting Policy - ClickBank

The whole thing is only 2 sentences. Completely straightforward and self-explanatory. No big mystery about it, at all!

All you have to do is make one sale every 90 days (hardly a huge requirement?) and it'll never be relevant to you at all, anyway.

Hi guys. This is not really the same topic, but still regarding the first payment.
    The question:
Does the address registered on CB for the cheques to be sent to has to be the same as address in Official Identity Card (e.g. passport, or national ID Card?). I know that Adsense registered adress should be, since payments are normally done through Western Union.

In my case, the address on my ID card is on a rural area where mails will arrive longer than normal, and sometimes held in the village office for a few weeks unless I go there and get it, while I prefer to put my much more accessible working address.

    Thanks for answers.
