Testimonial - Changing my theme improved my bounce rate!

Hey everyone -

I tried something a few weeks ago, and the results have been absolutely astonishing. I will share it here, I might be able to help someone else by it.

My best website, Welcome - Learn How to Play Keyboard Online! Learn How to Play Keyboard is getting a nice amount of traffic. But the bounce rate was 73%. Needless to say, I was not happy about it.

All my other sites had a much, MUCH lower bounce rate, (also less traffic). The biggest difference in this site was the theme. I was using a theme that had a lot of things on the home page, like featured posts, featured pages, author box, etc. It was a very busy looking homepage.

I decided it might be too distracting, and did not draw in the visitors enough. So I switched to a much simpler theme, one of my favorites, the BlogoLife theme.

AND... my bounce rate has dropped gradually but swiftly, everyday, and is now at 49% and still dropping. I have not changed anything else at all, just the theme.

I am using a static homepage, and have tried to make it as attractive as possible, while encouraging visitors to checking out more of the content.

So, anyone else out there debating whether you should change something on your site, it might be worth it!
