Anyone still utilizing Fiverr?

Seems like the buzz has kind of worn off, and I don't see many people talking about it much anymore. Do you still post gigs, or buy gigs, and has much changed?

Still a valuable resource for sure, both buying and selling - you just have to be consistent with it

I still use it to buy gigs. There are several things that I'd much rather pay $5 than to do myself.

I use it still for both buying and selling.

I make about $600-1000 per month and spend $25-100 per month.

I both buy and sell a lot on Fiverr. It is a nice side business. I always know that if I'm in a pinch I can get $50 off my Fiverr account to my PayPal.

I think most people do not know how to use it properly. The thing is there is dud fiverr gigs, but there are a whole stack of awesome ones, you can use to outsource all the jobs you hate...and for $5, its a gimmie.

I still use it for outsourcing. Fiverr is still an outstanding place to outsource for very affordable rates and regular high quality work. The only reason that the "buzz" has worn off is because it reached its 'carrying capacity' for the Warrior forum and there are many new, more important and modern intellectual topics served here.

There are too many people that will take your money and never deliver. I have seen a number of scams on there lately. But like anything that gets popular, you kind of expect it.

I mainly go there for quick graphics. I'm no good at making them and I'd rather just pay $5 for a quick header or ebook cover. Of course, I also have people I hire to do graphics that cost a lot more, but sometimes I just don't need a really good graphic, I just need an adequate graphic.

I use it quite a bit to buy and just started selling. Its just a matter of finding the good ones and "not getting" the bad ones.

Some of the stuff there is way more valuable than the price tag. Especially as its a one-time gig.

I still use it. Although since I am really busy with running my site, I dont spend any time promoting the gigs I had set up last year. But I still get a few orders a week without doing any pronation what so ever (well I do have links to 2 of my gigs in my sig here, so that does help of course).

I really think if have the right gig and are wiling to promote it, you can even make a living on Fiverr as there are some people that have featured gigs and their order counts are crazy.

There is one guy I was looking at one of his gigs the other day and he had sold over 5000 gigs in about 3 months or so. That is $20,000 in profit (take $5000 out since you have to pay $1 to fiverr for each order).

Thats not bad if especially your gig is something that doesn't require much time to be completed, like an ebook or something like that.

I just began using it a few weeks ago. Finally, with my husband's continued encouragement & support & due to our current circumstances, I'm being motivated & determined to pursue my dream.

I've wanted to be a writer since I was 8(I'm 43). I've mainly created poetry & more so lately, erotica. I'm branching out into other genres. I'd prefer to drop the erotica all together, but, I'm still receiving requests for it & every little bit helps.

Even before joining here, I realized I was shortchanging myself, with the amount I earn for my stories. Even with being at the next level. I'm starting to promote myself elsewhere. I figure it's, at least, a good launching pad & will help me hone my craft.

When fiverr first came on the scene, it was so new and fresh that it had the world talking. True some of the TALK about fiverr has decreased but activity on the site at least seems to be growing and growing, and that means and new creative ways to use the website are constantly being thought of.

I don't see fiverr as a resource being lost any time soon, i think we have yet to see the potential of it.

I still buy gigs... pay $5 now and then to save myself a bunch of time and effort? Yes, please - especially when those tasks would often cost more to get done elsewhere! I haven't gotten into selling gigs, though.

Yes, I use Fiverr to sell and buy gigs too. I think it's a great place to get cheap outsourcers when you know what to look for. Nothing is better than to have someone doing the tedious tasks for only $5.

People are not talking about it anymore? Every marketer I hear recommends to use fiverr.

People are definitely still using it. The one problem is the quality of gigs up there. Some people are afraid to leave poor reviews that reflect the quality of the work.

You do get what you pay for but saying that, there are some good gigs on there. Things like video intros and voice over artists. I would not trust people offering thousands of back links for a fiver though. Sure they may have the software to do it but throwing that amount of links at your site in a short time would get it flagged. This is the sort of mistake beginners fall for.

I believe that there are still lots of people who are still using Fiverr for gaining exposure to their websites (mostly SEO and social bookmark services). But take note that Fiverr is not the only place you can rely on, Warrior Forum and Digital Point Forums are also one of the best sources for you to buy gigs.

Fiverr is still a great resource and I use them all the time for tasks that are worth much more than $5 to do....

Plus if you need a short video intro or a voice over work....you simply can't beat the professionalism that some of these gigs bring to the table...of course, sometimes you need to sift through a lot of crap.

I also used a gig for a Birthday surprise....I couldn't be on a family vacation for my Parents Birthday and Anniversary so I had a man playing the bagpipes with a custom message - they LOVED it.

I use it for all kinds of gigs - mostly buying.

It's really interesting to see what new ideas people come up with and some are actually heartwarming.

Here's a gig some thoughful guy was hosting over the Xmas period. It involved buying and handing out Big Macs to less fortunate kids on the streets of The Philippines. I bought a batch of them and it was really pleasing to watch. I made the following compilation of the videos that were sent to me:

although there are other options out there, I still think Fiverr is a great source for getting something done that would take you much longer to do yourself. Your time is worth more than $5! Just pay attention to the ratings and you'll usually have pretty good luck with the job that's delivered.
