Almost immediately my focus has shifted... for sure there were withdrawal symptoms, but strangely a sense of pleasure has replaced it. When I log in, I find my mind immediately wanting to check my Facebook account, but as soon as I remember I took it down, there is nothing left to do but get to work. Ha, what a concept.
It feels good, because well, we feel good when are doing what we know we should be doing In fact, the nice feeling has easily replaced the little buzz I got every time I checked my Facebook email, or saw a new like on my status. It really is very pointless when you step back and think of it.
I will probably go back at some point just because I have so many friends on there and no other way of getting in contact with them, but I will go back with a whole new attitude. In the meantime, I am really enjoying life without Facebook.
If you find Facebook was getting in the way, I suggest giving it a shot. Let me know how it goes.
