I tried a bunch of people/providers and in the end I like Content Authority. I like to use UAW so I really like how CA will do cheap re-writes.

Yeah if you want it seo'd properly you will pay about ten bucks for 500 words.

Just a hint but alot of times and I don't think I'm tricking them but some of these up and mighty people will say I am. What I do is ask for a 1000 to 1300 word article, I will give them the keywords and have half written for the top half and the other half for the bottom then use it on two pages. I can usually get it alot cheap this way.

Like others have mentioned, I have also noticed that $10-15 seems to be the going rate for a good SEO friendly article (unless you get incredibly lucky and find a highly competent writer willing to do it for a lower price... there are some on Fiverr). You could contract someone on a more long term basis (i.e. for 10 articles) and get a bulk rate discount, if you are not prepared to spend so much on it.

It all depends on your definition of quality. Most of the BEST writers don't work for 2 cents a word or less. If you are using this content for your own website and not for article marketing or backlink building, you may want to consider paying more and making sure you get the best.

Don't want to do it yourself? At least you would know you're writing the articles the way they need to be, and in the way that you want it to be. Hiring writers can become extremely expensive.

If you want to find SEO articles for $5.00 - $10.00, you can find them all over the
"Warriors for Hire" section.

If you want to find "quality" articles, however, you might want to take a hard look
at your budget and how you do business. You're not likely to find consistent
quality at that price range.

Consider for a moment how long it takes to brainstorm an idea for an article, do the
research, write that article, and then redraft it several times. Then ask yourself
how much a professional whose craft is in high demand (as is the case with
writers) would likely expect to take in per hour providing their skills as a service.

That will give you an idea about why you can't really expect much at $5 - $10.

You might get readable, but don't be surprised if the article has "facts" that aren't
true, is extremely dry, or is full of mistakes. And an article suffering from those
ailments isn't quality in my book.

Not to pick on you, as I realize there IS an abundance of cheap articles out there,
but they just aren't the type a lot of us on here view as quality. They're typically used for
links, and even that practice is questionable.

So again, check "Warriors for Hire," or check Elance and Craigslist. Post a job in the
"Wanted" section here on the forum.

Just don't expect too much.

If you want decent articles for very cheap you should try Fiverr. There are some pretty legit article gigs on there...

I would suggest you to try iwriters. Currently i am also using this and i am happy with their quality and price..
And you may also try 99centarticles, this one is also good in features..

I like how so many people recommend "cheap" writing services for $0.50 or $0.99 a pop..i wonder whether those "article writing services" also include a free tissue so you can wipe your tears next time when a Google update happens and your site sinks in rankings due to poor content?

It's ironic since i JUST read about this on another forum how people complained how they are losing money because Google punished their sites - would they not have been cheap to begin with they would NOT have those problems. Money saved on the wrong end, obviously...

It's sad to see writing so undervalued on here.

I do believe that you get what you pay for. Equally, I try to offer very good value for money, so people return and I write for them again.

It is such a difficult position when you have iWriter and the like, promising high quality content for pennies. It might not be high quality, but it still takes work away from decent freelance writers.

I've always liked the work done with 99 cent articles, but it's really only niche blog quality. If you want something better, go to cc articles or content authority, or hire a professional on ODesk.

Finding a service that can write HIGH quality for that price will be difficult. Most writers in that price range are either foreign or outsource to foreign writers and just edit the articles. It is hard for a TRUE native English writer to make a living charging those rates and they usually either quit or start charging more.

My advice, test 2-4 services and really look at what they provide you. Don't just look at the SEO, as you can direct them on how you want the keyword phrase used and other SEO necessities. Look at the flow of the content and whether it can be used by the reader. High quality content is not hard to find, but there is quite a bit of junk to sift through to find it sometimes.
