I just wanted to let everyone Know how easy it is to apply the Cash Cow methods David Preston teaches.

I purchased the Wso Web-mar with David Preston on Thursday 1/29 on Friday 1/30 I downloaded everything read the PDF's and listened to the audios while I was driving home to visit my family for my birthday. I live in Nashville TN and my parents live in Pikeville, KY So the drive is about 6 hours which gave me plenty of time to listen to all of the audios I had No intentions on taking action on what I learned the same day but when I got home My parents were having a dancing lesson with their friends and Instructors

After the dance lesson one of the instructors approached me to wish me a happy birthday, and ask me what I was doing in Nashville. I told him that I was getting ready to start an e-commerce consulting business for local small businesses.

This seemed to intrigue him so he started asking a lot of questions about web design and internet marketing. I answered his questions and before long he asked me if I thought he needed a website for his dance business. I said yes and told him how a website would benefit his business. He then asked me how much to get a domain name, hosting, and a website.

I gave him several different options ranging from 1,000 to 5,000 for my services. Eventually we agreed upon 1,500 with $275 upfront and the rest to be paid in 30 days. I agreed to this because I have known this man and his wife for a very long time and I also know that they do not have a lot of extra cash.

The point is that I did not try to sell him on my services all I did was educate him on the benefits of internet marketing and he asked me for the sale, Which is exactly what David teaches in the webinar

P.S.
If my typing seems a little off it is because I am using a touch screen laptop that I got for my birthday and I am still getting used to the way it works

  • Hi, wow that's great, glad it worked out. It's funny when things come together like that. I'm more interested in an online business, but wonderful when I hear other success stories. That should motivate a person.
  • Now that is what is called taking action. Casual conversation that led to a sale. For those of you wondering this kind of networking can work with complete strangers. There is a very good chance this one conversation will lead to several more sales in the original posters home town.

    Can you imagine the dance instructor telling several other business associates about your service. You won't even have to drive back over there, you talk with them on the phone.

  • Thank You for your comments and you are exactly right about networking working with complete stragers too. I have also recieved three referalls from the dance instructor already and I have conference calls with them today since it's to far for me to drive back to KY. The referalls came from the instructor announcing to his class that he would have a website to promote his business. He took the opportunity to show of his savvy business sense by explaining the power of internet marketing to his class and passing on the information that I had given him.

    This was a win win for both of us because he got to show of his intelligence and I get the instant credibility and referrals.
  • Great! I think once you demonstrate how your services can benefit their business you will always find success with your clients. It's not being a salesman but being an educator as you rightly mentioned that will help you wrap up the deal.

    I haven't checked out Cash Cow at all, but I'm guessing it's about 'offline' jobs, like selling websites to all the local business owners.

    I'd just like to say that one 'offline' niche I have been working in for fun and to help friends out has consistently worked for me, for YEARS.

    This niche is local Sports Teams

    I'm not well connected in the community in the niche at all, BUT, I know a lot of people who are, and this drives my sales for this niche completely. I maybe sell one site every 2-3 months, but I put no effort into marketing AT ALL.

    This started out as my sister's husband asking me to make a website for the Booster Club Baseball teams in my hometown. All he knew before asking was that I 'did websites and web apps'.

    This brings me to the next point..... By targeting this niche, you will be interacting with organizations more than individuals/businesses. The positive? Organizations usually have a lot of fund-raised money to spend however they see fit, so expensive 'development costs' are never really given a second thought.


    Just last week I cashed a check for $2200 to setup a site for another Booster Club, in a different city. I used the same script we had developed for these sites years ago and had the site up, running, and complete in less than 1 hour.

    $2200 an hour... I'll take that any day


    And so it goes.... I have a few people like my brother-in-law out there who are connected in sports in the communities, and they find me all the jobs. I don't even think about this niche unless one of them calls/emails me. I give them 10% of every sale as an incentive.

    For somebody that goes to work at a regular job everyday $220 can be a lot of money (in their eyes) for simply making a connection for you.

      This will be the start of something very successful for you because you did it from the heart and it wasn't necessarily about the dough ray me.

  • This is a HUGE key to getting hired to help business owners with their internet marketing.

    The more you focus on educating them on how internet marketing can help them, their business and getting what THEY want from their business the more likely you are to get hired.

    The other biggest key...which is probably more important...is just to talk to a lot of business owners.

    The people who are willing to do that generally make a good income very quickly.
