Aweber Spam Check Experiment: Would Someone do this please.

Hi,

I found an online spam score checker by sitesell.

I was wondering if the score was close with the Aweber spam score checker.

Would someone please run an email through their Aweber checker and then this one SpamCheck and see if the scores are similar.

Thank You,
George Wright

I can run some emails through for you George. Have you got any specific type of emails in mind, any words you specifically want to test for?

      Thanks Andrew,

No specifics. I just wanted to know it the http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/ comes up with the same score as Aweber, which I think is considered a very good checker. In other words if your email comes up with a score of 3 with Aweber is it also a 3 with http://spamcheck.sitesell.com/

It's not so much the score that I'm curious about its whether or not the scores are the same with both checkers.

      Thanks,
      George Wright

I've just run a few emails through.

All of the ones which scored 0 on one, scored 0 on the other as well.

I put one through which scored 0.8 in Aweber. For some reason, the component parts scored 0.1, 0.6 and 0.2, which suggests Aweber's arithmetic isn't quite there!

It scored 1.3 on the sitesell form, so they are obviously not using the same system.

On Aweber, it found two instances of "Information on how to work at home", one scoring 0.1 and one scoring 0.6, and one of HTML included in message, scoring 0.2.

On Sitesell, it only found one instance of "Information on how to work at home", scored at 1.3, and the HTML included in message, which for some reason was included on the report, but didn't score anything.

Similar, by the looks of it, but not the same.

When I checked first time SiteSell's tool, l noticed that it was based on a very old version of Spam Assassin (version 2.6x). After a few months I checked again and there was no change. I don't know if eventually they updated their tool.

    Thanks Andrew,

That's great. I think if they are close is the main thing. Anything around 3 is a good score so there is some wiggle room there.

Thank you very much for your help.
