ACTA stands for (Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement) is is yet another set of laws to be introduced

It includes 39 countries, including the 27 of the European Union, the United States, Japan, etc. Negotiated instead of being democratically debated, ACTA bypasses parliaments and international organizations to dictate a repressive logic dictated by the entertainment industries.

    There is massive unrest in Poland around this. Polish government released news about it on page 44 of a report about FISHING industry - talk about transparency. Poland's supposed to sign it this Friday, but there are massive protests against it around the country, and Anonymous hacked Polish government websites, so this time around it may not happen. But there's other countries involved, including all of EU, and things are really looking bad. If it doesn't come through today, it'll be passed tomorrow. Sad day for all of us.
