Hey guys,

what's your biggest frustrations when hiring a graphic designer to create you a banner/ebook cover etc?

Would love to hear some opinions!

Just go to fiverr and you'll find plenty who will do this for you for $5.. Your frustation days will be over

Last time I checked the less you pay the more frustration!

Fiverr has some amazing talent, don't be discouraged by the price.

Seriously i've purchased many gigs in the last year or so and some i can honestly say were not so good , but some blew me away as to how much i got in return for a measly $5! I love Fiverr

Biggest frustration is I'm not that graphic myself, so it's hard for me to communicate what I want. Fortunately, I've got a designer who usually nails it for me.

That is when the graphic designer can't give and provide you the graphics that you have expected and hoped for. Let's say not exactly 100 percent, but almost.

That is when the graphic artist can't picture out the graphics you want based on your instructions.

Sometimes, other graphic artists promise something but at the end of the day, they can't fulfill it.

It's tough to do a job that everyone thinks they can do - or do better. I feel bad for the designers on fiverr after reading this thread.

Yes, some are probably not worthy of the title "designer" but a good designer will bring more value to a product than you can ever imagine. (tip: good designers aren't on fiverr - or don't stay long)

its tough to find someone good initially, but the trick is to keep searching until you find one who rocks. they'll get to know your style etc. all designers are the same. you need to tell them EXACTLY what you want. thats my only frustration with them.

I think the biggest problem is that when it comes to graphic designs, everything is very subjective. Your freelancer might think they have done an amazing job, when in your view, they have done a terrible job.

I think most frustrations can be avoided if you look at the portfolio of freelancers before you hire them to do your designing. If you like their prior designs, chances are they'll do something that you will like.

Another potential frustration is when they do not take deadlines seriously. You should stress at the beginning just how important this task is and that it HAS to be completed by the deadline.
