I've been a internet marketer for some time now, just never been consistent at it enough to be successful.

The people I followed when I first became a marketer preached backlinks, backlinks, backlinks. Google was always the only way to success. The bad part about that is that it would take me so long to rank up and so much work writing articles and commenting and all those things to help rank up, that I would burn out before my blogs made it far up in the serps.

I recently just started a new sports news blog focused on tim tebow, and its amazing how much traffic i've gotten just from social media such as facebook, twitter and google+.

I still have some key words that I'm going to try to get ranked for, but its encouraging to have success right away, even if its not a lot. So now i'm spending my time researching social media. Any tips or ideas are welcome.

Thanks and sorry for the typos

my website is in my sig by the way if you want to check it out
#success

Same with signatures on forums.. I could be sharing my sites here but I'm sure people will copy them. And there are peeps who know way way more about that game than me

Never reveal a niche and a way you are making money in make money forums. But as your post is not getting a lot of exposure (yet) hope that you don't get competitor by the end of the day

Great to see you are getting success---keep up the good work and WORK, WORK and one more time WORK every day toward your goals.

    Be consistent, you'll be successful.

The people I followed when I first became a marketer preached backlinks, backlinks, backlinks.
My question- Are the backlink preacher using backlinks themselves? If not, don't follow them

I'm done with backlinks the day I stopped following what they've always told me and started doing what they are doing for their own online business....

Want an example?- Just find your mentor on facebook. Follow exactly what he/she is doing.

BTW, Loved the blogger site. Carry on. Buy your own domain as well even if it's a .info

You're on the right path now. Depending solely on Google for the success of your business is surely a mistake. "Google" does not equal "the entire internet" - there are numerous other platforms that command substantial traffic, and you can even drill down deeper to target lower-level (but still very popular) sites in your niche through methods like guest blogging/article syndication.

I agree 100% I think google should be included in the long term plans, but I'm getting traffic now with my blog being a few weeks old that took months with just relying on google.eventually I'm going to start using those tradition marketing techniques but for right now I'm enjoying interacting with people and building a community of loyal followers.

    Awesomeness Congrats!

Your site clearly shows content uniqueness trumps snazzy design What's your monetization beyond Adsense BTW?

I'm still experimenting with the monetization part. I'm testing out google affliate network. I really want to try a video ad network, but most of them require you to have like 10,000 page views a month and I'm not quite there yet. But if you have any other ideas, they will be welcomed.

so instead of working on your SEO (which can be outsourced), you created a blog about the most talked about football player this year, and are receiving traffic through social media. I would be concerned about sustainability.

I've been doing the same thing for the last month and social networks are great for generating traffic. In my opinion this also helps your site to rank higher in Google in the long run. And it's also cost effective. You don't have to pay the big money for the SEO services and backlinks.

In addition, the new google "search your world" search seems to be the way to go. Less expensive and not that big competition when you know what you are doing.

      Good luck with the site.

Social marketing is a great traffic source if you know how to monetize the crowd. Of course I advocate collecting the traffic's information and putting them in a sales funnel that warms the new member to you and your future sales proposals.

Content Based SEO will never go out of style. It is what the internet is based on. True SEO is not only another traffic source but it is a traffic qualifier as well as an actual navigation system for the reader.

If you have social traffic and SEO traffic in the bag, don't forget to keep adding other traffic streams. Solo ads, PPC, PPV, CPA (yes .. there is two sides to cpa .. the person who makes money from getting clicks and the person who is happy to pay to get those clicks), Content syndication, guest blogging, 100% affiliate traffic, video marketing, web 2.0 marketing, loss leader traffic, the list goes on and on.

Qualifying this traffic, getting them into a proper sales funnel, warming the traffic, funneling warmed traffic from point a to point sale and then moving that traffic to a new money stream.

Success is not luck. When all the proper applications are applied ... success is anything but unlikely.

I think the Google is the best way to earn more money in online but the only disadvantage in it is that it takes more time and has more competition from other people also. Although it has one or more disadvantages, it is one of the effective way to make online money. But it requires more hard work than anyother work.
