Hello Warriors! (...and lurkers, you get some love too. Sign up!)

So I just wanted to share a little personal experience of mine.

First of all, I've been a full time marketer for awhile. I'm not a millionaire (yet!) but I'm doing pretty well. I have my ups and downs, but overall I'm doing much better than any REAL job I've ever had, and I've had A LOT of jobs.

That said, I want to just point out how ridiculously important it is to test everything.

You see, when I first started out, I didn't test nearly as much as I should have. I would just throw up squeeze pages that I thought were good, and run random search engine ads to direct traffic to it. I did very little testing. I got some results, but they were far from being OPTIMUM.

Over the last year or so I've done more and more testing. In the last two months I've become VERY serious about testing. I figured I need to get the most money possible out of my offers.

So, I focused on one ad campaign, one squeeze page, one thank you page with a one time offer, and a short sequence of follow up emails leading up to an offer for a bigger product. I endlessly tested each with a/b split testing, and a little multi-variant testing as well.

I've seen my conversions slightly improve over time, but this morning I saw something that made me really see how much of a difference the endless testing is making for me.

This morning I looked at my stats. Last night I had a super high click through rate on some ads I was working on. Now it wasn't a lot of clicks, but for the low amount of impressions, I was very happy with it.

Out of those clicks, around 60% of them signed up to my list. Out of those that signed up about 1/4 bought the one time offer product on my thank you page. The amount I made off of those one time offer sales will pay my advertising costs for the next four or five days.

The best part about those clicks? Because I've been focusing on unique keyword phrases (including misspellings), those clicks only cost me an average of 15 cents each.

And of course, some of those subscribers are now proven buyers, which is always a good thing.

Now, I know my conversions won't ALWAYS be this high, this was definitely a peak. But, I would have never had a day like today if I hadn't decided to spend so much time testing and studying my results, and tweaking those ads and websites.

In the end, it was such a small amount of money compared to other days, but felt like such a victory because it validated that extra time I was spending with testing. It proved that all those endless hours were NOT a waste of time, and that this specific funnel will just be more and more profitable because of it.

I expect this one funnel to significantly increase my overall income. If I hadn't done all this testing, I would have just been making more and more sites. I would have caused more work and stress for myself for the same or less results.

So for any of you newbies who are making a large number of sites trying to see what sticks, try and just focus on one for awhile. Test EVERYTHING, and be patient for your results. I would sometimes go a week without changing anything just to make sure the results were accurate.

To your success!
