Tip for all WSO seller

I see a lot of WSO's sell with a sales page that is white, there is nothing wrong with it, but I would rather go with a nice looking background color

here are some tips:

WF bg-color:
#F5F5F5
Use a .PNG instead of. Jpeg
a WF post if 759 px width

I hope this can help some of you!

example of background color:

example of PNG with transparent color:

    Great tip!

I was reading this article earlier - I can't find the link anymore - but it talked very convincingly about the importance of making a well designed sales page to tip the odds in your favor. Implementing a change in background colors is so simple, yet it can have such a drastic improvement. Give it a shot, all!

CLOSE... but no cigar. I'm a big believer in doing your research BEFORE passing it on to others.

Warrior Forum Background Color is actually #F5F5F5

Also wondering why you recommend PNG images over JPG?

        Background is #F5F5F5.

..but if you are using PNG as you rightly recommended, you don't have to worry about background colour anyways...

The benefit of using PNG is that your graphics can be applied elsewhere which may have a different (light) background colour. i.e you might want to use WSO graphics on your website which has a white background.

If you are using your graphics specifically for a WSO, JPGs with a grey background will suffice, though it's questionable why you'd want to take the extra steps to do that given the flexibility of the PNG format.

Properly prepared files always come in useful in the future.

PNGs should have a transparent background right?

Thanks for the tips! I'll remember this when lanching my first WSO.

Not 100% sure about this but aren't PNG's a higher quality graphic then JPG's? I feel that most JPG's look pixelated.

Yes, but JPGs are intended for photos anyway.

The quality of JPGs depends upon its compression.

JPG's lose quality when compressed. PNG's do not.

The compromise is, PNG's result in a larger file size.

    Hey my friend,

That's some great advice... It's nicer to have a "seamless" WF experience in the WSOs.

I thought the width was 777px... my sales images are that size... Will the WF autoresize it?

    Peace.

p.s. I am pretty stoked about my VERY 1st WSO launching tomorrow ... heheheheheh

          That's the closest RGB equivalent.

I assume that clicking "only web colors" will snap to the correct hex value..?

Ah well. I thought that might be the solution.

This is why it's best to use dedicated web design software such as Adobe Fireworks for things like this.

Personally I could care less about all the graphics and colors, As long as the WSO looks half way decent and gets straight to the point, I'm happy with that. I don't like real long sales pages either. In my opinion, If a product Is good, It doesn't need to be fluffed up with line after line of text.

White or whatever colour - that won't influence my decision, if the WSO will give me value then I'm game.

My point exactly. If you come here and give out incorrect information then you start confusing people and causing more trouble than good. This is a good example of what happens when people give out theory NOT stuff they have actually put into practice themselves. If the OP had indeed used the color they recommended in this thread then he would have seen it was the incorrect color.

As I stated above the background color of the forum posts is #F5F5F5

This is NOT theory as I have actually used that color in my own WSO and I know it is the correct color... as do many other WSO vendors. In regards to using PNG images you do not need to use them since you can just include the background color in any images you create. I would always use gif or jpg images over png due to file sizes.

No probs at all. So long as people know what the color is, it's all good. Your intentions were good and that's what counts!

what do you mean has anyone?

Marketing is about testing, if you are not testing everything you are doing you shouldnt be in this game. Test, test and test again. Record what works and what doesnt.

Pretty simple. John Reese once said, marketing is just about doing more of the stuff that does work and less of what doesnt. Smart guy too.

That's not a proper test. There are many things that will play a role in the conversion rate of your WSO. Things like the time of day you bump your offer, who else bumped at that time, the day of the week, how many people are on the forum, etc, etc.

The only way to do a proper split test would be to have every second visitor going to the plain text version - this type of split test is almost impossible to setup on the Warrior Forum.

You're wasting your time testing things any other way as the results won't mean anything.
