Try using namecheap it's a lot cheaper then godaddy.com is. If you want to buy a premium domain name try buydomins.com. Premium domains are more expensive. They also have high search volume with Google keyword tool.

Domain Name Lookup, Domain Whois | DomainTools is a great site for researching available domain names.

Try a search on Ajax Whois 2.0 - fast domain name search and whois
    They also advertise GoDaddy coupons.

Just go to namecheap and use their search box to search for your domain and then register it. I recommend Namecheap as the best registrar.

Go to Siteopia.com - they have by far the best domain prices at the moment.

co.uk domains are cost price and just £5 for two years. Plus you get lots of freebies like a full email account.

I like using instantdomainsearch.com to look for available domain names. They also give you a discount link to GoDaddy when you've got a name you like.

Godaddy + this coupon: gtnftu03 = $3.13 domain registrations (up to 3 of them I believe).

I like Godaddy auction, though its hard to find anything decent cheap. But the other day I bought a domain that was almost 9 years old for 5 bucks. They just let it expire!

Namecheap and GoDaddy are the best sources for you to search available domain names. If it's available, then register it before someone else does.

Another vote for Namecheap. I personally don't care for GoDaddy as I've heard too many horror stories of people having their domains taken away for the slightest reason.

I have heard bad stories about godaddy as well. The commercials are great, but services and issues are bad.

Godaddy and Namecheap are the two best ones in my view, Namecheasp is a bit more I/M friendly though.

    Good luck
