I just read about the newest GoDaddy code for a $1 domain name. The new code is:

BIGGAME1

Use it in good health.

(Of course I bought 3 names in the last week, but I'll think of another one)

BTW, I found that even though I am a client of godaddy, namecheap etc. none inform you of any such promotions. Any idea why is it so?

They DID announce it through their official Twitter account.

I am running a mobile app / website that (among so many other things) is following GoDaddy's Twitter (and many other registrars / feeds as well) and it helps keeping up with all those crazy deals we do not want to pass

I wish I could buy a domain with my PP account

NC works great for me since they allow PP.... Why does GD doesn't allows it??

  That will only work if you use two different credit cards. If you just use the same creadit card for both accounts, the $1 coupon will only work once. At least that is how it was for me when one card expired and I tried to add another card that was already used to buy $1 domain from another account. SO that did not work, it said "coupon already used" or something similar...

  Maybe because Paypal take a transaction fee, so GD would get hardly anything from a $1.18 transaction.

  Get a Paypal debit card, and you can. Or get a credit card. I don't think a $1.18 charge is going to put you over your head in debt.

Cooler is right about the PayPal fee being to high. GoDaddy is losing enough money already on the offer.

For those that are interested I got the code by "Liking" GoDaddy on Facebook and the code appeared on my Wall in FaceBook.

I know PayPal charges fees, but don't the credit card processors ding them with fees too? Depending on how a PayPal account is set up, I would think that the fees are just about the same.

I think PayPal charges a higher percentage and a 30¢ transaction fee.

But really, who cares why?

It's their deal and they make the rules. If you could only pay for it with postage stamps it's still a great deal.

Get a PayPal debit card like I have if you can! I pay for it with my PayPal debit card and even get a small percentage back.
