What Got You The Most Hits?

Regardless of what method of internet marketing you are doing, whether you are a newbie, an experienced marketer or somewhere in between, you need targeted traffic.

There are posts on here all the time about how to get targeted traffic, however, I thought that if we posted what method we used to get the most amount of targeted traffic at any one time, that could be helpful to everyone.

Post it something like this:
the method of IM you are doing; list building, PPC, blogging, etc.

the method you used to get the traffic (be as specific as possible)

You may be getting traffic from lots of places, but for this post what has gotten you the most targeted traffic in the shortest time.

Then post the duration, it was a one time increase or stayed up there.

Here is mine:

    Article syndication / marketing gets me the most hits. It varies though, always dependent on how much effort I put into the article and its distribution. Sometimes I get lazy and throw something out that I'm not proud of, and I generally get something back proportionate to what I've put in. Other times I can pull a whole months worth of SEO traffic in 48 hours from a single article.

      I agree. This is my prime method of getting targeted traffic and high SEO and is the most consistent, too.

      However, it was a hot topic on a high volume forum that got me the most in the shortest amount of time.

    A method that brought me TONS of traffic (and $200 earnings) in 1 day was to Digg a youtube video.

    I created a youtube video promoting a CPA offer and then I hired a girl at fiverr (sadly, she's not available anymore) to give the video 200 diggs in 24 hours or less.

    Lucky me, my digged video got featured and I got like 1,000-2,000 visitors in 1 days alone.

    After those woderful 24 hours, my digged video got banned by Digg.com =(

    I guess the lesson I learn is the power of SocialMedia Marketing when used correctly (and by accident!).

      Yeah, I guess I should've noted to list things that didn't get you banned.

      It really is slow and steady that wins the race. Een though you can buy all kind of things on fiverr and other sites, that doesn't mean they will really be good for you. Most of the friends and followers you get on fiverr.com are of no real value.

    Yes, as a newbie there are a lot of "shiny objects" meaning, great headlines and promises to suck you in so that they can make some money off of you. It can be difficult to distinguish the good from the not so good or even the outright scams.

    After a while, I noticed that the "real deal" guys are so sure of their stuff that they are willing to give you stuff for free to try or at least a low cost starter fee.

    Yes, there will eventually be a charge, but I have found more truthful, highly workable and effective information from the top guys who are making millions and charge nothing or very little upfront than from any of these guys selling thousand dollar packages right away.

    Be cautious and don't fall for those headlines and promises and don't pay out big money immediately until you can get a trial run with the stuff they offer.

      When I was starting out, 200 profile links and an AMR blast got me 10,000 visitors, by sending a high search volume keyword up to the top of Google.

      I didn't make any money. It was my first site and was pretty poor.

      Now, I'm concentrating on blogging and syndication.

    I'd head over to fiverr and find the right person at the right time to help, there are a wide range of services that can get you targeted traffic - The key is to be creative and find the right things.

    I get most of my traffic from PPC, media buys, and affiliates. But surprisingly, we get massive traffic and conversion from video marketing.

    Organic traffic, paid advertising and Twitter. Spending money for SEO or doing it yourself in my opinion is the best its more long term than just having your website in adwords.

    What works best for me is blogging and interacting with my targeted audience. My sites on food allergies in children get plenty of hits just because i connect and keep it real with them. All targeted followers have targeted friends who have targeted friends.
