Powerful Tips to Start Making Bank With Video Marketing

I was pulled kicking and screaming into video marketing, although I was counseled to do so many years ago. It felt too difficult at the time, but eventually the benefits seemed too powerful too ignore. If you want to make great marketing videos, here are a couple of tips.

1) Go to fiverr.com for your voice overs if you can't make them, don't have the voice for it, or just don't want to make them. I have found world class voice talent on there that you've heard on national TV commercials to record voice overs for less than $20; sometimes even $5! You have to write the script for them for that price, though.

2) Instead of spending ton on Camtasia (Which is a great program, and does have a 30-day, free trial), you can use Windows live movie maker for free. It has a major limitation, in that it can not work with MP4 video, and crashes on occasion. To rectify that, I got Avid's Pinnicale Studio 15. It works great and was only $60 at Frys (You don't have Frys if you live on the E. coast, but they are great for cheap electroncics and computer stuff). It can work with multiple file formats and is very flexible.

3) To get a ton of high quality music and video clips for free, go to videoblocks.com and sign up for their free, 1-week trial. They let you download up to 20 items a day duing the trial period. 140 different music selections and video clips, combined with a few choice stills, can deliver some great videos for a long time.

I hope this helps all you that are looking at dipping your toe into the YouTube waters. Although I fought it as long as I could, I now have videos on YouTube with 70,000 views, which makes me want to kick myself when I think about how longh I went without

If your skills are not good to edit and make your own video or you don't have time, then best advice is to hire some video designer to do it.

Or get some video examples with your video edit software where you just change text of the video and this is so easy - just getting such software can be expensive.

I agree, outsourcing is the way to go, but outsourcing really top quality video can get expensive. For me, the hardest part was the voiceover. The rest was fairly simple, so I chose so far to outsource only the voice over part of it.

I've also had good luck using high quality PLR video as a base, then editiing it, and adding elements to it, like graphics and my own logos and headings. That can be a real time saver too.

What kinds of videos are you making, Steve? I've been doing 'ScreenCasts' and they seem to do pretty good.

We hire a pro for the video stuff... We pay him 800 euros for 4 mornings or afternoons of filming at a company... He makes one 3 minutes company intro video with an overview of what the company does. Then he also makes 10 short videos just for YouTube... We charge 4500 euros for this package and a bonus for every single YouTube video getting on the first page of Google in the first half year (150 euros per video).

Yes, filming is expensive, but you have to find a great freelancer and know how to sell a high ticket package to clients, then it is all worth it...

Hey Steve, thanks for the tip. Good to see you're having success with video. I'm busting to get into videos but the voice over issue and logistics of figuring it all out has stopped me so far.

When you say about getting someone on Fiverr to do the voice over, does that mean I could, for example, make a powerpoint slide presentation, then send over the file and the Fiverr guy would add the voice over and save the video file to send back to me?

Probably, but what I've found is that you have to send them a script, and they will record the voice over. They will send it to you in .wav or .mp3 format. You can then add it to your video timeline, and just drop your video clips or stills where they fit to make them match the voice over.

Some poeple on fiverr will also write the script as well, but that will set you back more than $5. The same goes if you want the voice over to be very long. Typicaly I've seen 30 second or 1 minute voice overs for the $5. They will extend them either by you buying extra gigs, or by you adding options.

Here is a sample of one that I got there:

Great tips on the videoblocks trial- didn't know about that. One thing that amazes me about Youtube traffic is its avg time on site is double any other traffic source- and that's consistent on my different sites across different niches.

Video, even simple video, is a really powerful traffic source that can easily be added to anyone's toolbox.

Video Marketing is really Hot (more after the Google Panda Update) and a single video can get good traffic from the Video Sharing site where is hosted (like YouTube) + it could also get top google ranks for the keyword that it targets.

And if you automate video generation, you can create 100's of videos (to target multiple keywords) in the time it takes you to create a single article.

Here is a tip, as a consumer:

Buy yourself a copy of The Closers and learn how to let people buy when they freaking want to!

I have been watching this video from Michael Rasmussen about Affiliate Cash Snipers. About 5 or 8 minutes into it, I said to myself, "OK, WOW, this is awesome, I figure this is worth about $5,000 and I'm going to get it right now if its in that range."

But guess what... No buy now button, can't fast-forward the video, wth??

OK, well I'll learn a little more about it, that won't hurt anyway, the video can't be that long. Well it is now something like 20 minutes later and he is STILL rambling about this and that, and I haven't been able to force myself to listen to him. Instead, I'm just thinking,

"Wait a minute... Why is he trying so hard to sell this to me, if it is so great? ...In fact, why wouldn't he just dominate the web with it himself, rather than selling it to everyone else?"

Completely talked myself out of it... Still don't know what the price is. Maybe he wanted $20K for it and has to talk people into that. But seriously... I've been writing this post for about two minutes and he is still jabbering.

...Oh, he finally started talking about price, let's see how long it takes.

OK, he started by setting perceived value at only $3,000 which is quite a bit less than what I was originally willing to pay for it, 20+ minutes ago.

Now he is rambling about the perceived value of the add-ons, which I was too bored to listen to. Now he says it is not even $597. Now I really have serious doubts.

Two more minutes, still no price. Telling yet another story, something about testers wanting to give away multi-thousand dollar software out of the goodness of their hearts, because they really care and want to help people, or some other such nonsense.

Here it is... a one-time payment of $47. This hurts my brain. He is still talking, but I had to close the window, and opted-out of the list... Something like 30 minutes of my life that I will never get back... felt like 2 hours.

Couldn't agree more with jumping into video marketing. I've created an insanely successful passive income by loading about 80 videos on youtube in a specific niche.

Cannot beat the effectiveness of video!

    Good share.

    Hi Steve,

What is the latest opinions with how to go about video marketing?

Would you still recommend what you posted here or are there other programs or solutions (especially as alternatives to Camtasia - I do want to get this eventually but want something more cost-effective to start off with).

Same for everyone else. If you have any other tips. I have tried different programs but the audio does not work well. I have a Sennheiser PC8 USB Microphone headset. It worked well during the Camtasia trial but not with the other solutions.
