Did you install any new plugins?

Try to deactivate the plugins (by renaming them temporarily through FTP) and see whether you can get the access back.

No, I did not install any new plugins... The only thing I did before this happened was I created a new "Text" widget where I inserted the code for a Windows Live Messenger chatbox

Check your config file, after you created a new text widget it would have messed the config file.

It's either you have a plugin conflicting with your site or something is wrong with your hosting. To find out if it's a plugin issue, deactivate all plugins using a FTP program. If you don't have one, just google some free ftps. Then activate the plugins one by one till your site works. If it's hosting, call support.

Sometimes, updating plugins can create this plugin as well. Since your site is back up, best thing to do is keep that plugin deactivated.
