OP, you seem to be really hung up on the "unique" part. But your goal is to make money, right? So, what matters is whether a given strategy works to make you money, not how unique it is.

A strategy's uniqueness is only relevant to the extent that it helps the strategy work. And there are a lot of other factors at play besides uniqueness.

Now, how do you figure out what works? You start trying things.

I'm sure you've heard this before but pick something you love! Whether you have a product or not, pick a subject you love and then find affiliates that sell products to that niche.

Of course you would need to grow a list and have a website but if you like the niche then it won't be that bad. There isn't an easy way to make money online. Don't believe 92% of the bs out there. Put the work in and you'll eventually make $.

Every method is unique.

Your main concern is to start earning without spending much, right? I suggest you start with SEO then, and do some list-building from your websites. Build good quality websites, sites that deserve to rank. Then do SEO to get them to rank.

There are a lot of other ways to make money too, like Facebook and Twitter. But SEO has been one of the biggest moneymakers for folks in the online business and a portfolio of nice-earning sites was my first big moneymaker.

Anyway, like someone said above me, don't get hung up on the "unique" part. Tried and tested works better - no fiddling around learning the basics.

But once you've got the basics down, you'll learn unique twists on your own. So your business will definitely be "unique"

There is very little unique in internet marketing for the fact it is marketing. Marketing has been going on in some instance since communication started. The internet is just a medium to market on.

There is a lot of unique twist to an old standard going on but very little unique.

A lot of what I have done is door to door vacuum salesman 101, adapted to the internet.

When we start realizing that we are marketers and salespeople, we start to see profits. I don't want to suppress free thought but there has been a lot of occasions where I thought I had fell upon the most original idea ever to find an old master had already perfected it before I was born.

Now think about it ... on an open forum, just how many people do you think are going to give what they think is an original idea? There are plenty of ways to market besides SEO and Yahoo answers but there is no way to market effectively without putting some money into the equation or some time into the equation and more than likely both.

I had a really nice income going until Gov Brown flipped the switch on me. It came at just the right time, so I thought. About 90% of my sites were up for renewal and I let them all expire. He of course (several months later) reversed his decision on the CA tax laws thing. I just didn't have it in me to start all over again.

The reason I am looking for something different or unique is because I find that I am easily motivated when I feel like I have a 'new beginning' sorta speak. It's like when spring comes, everything is fresh and new and I feel excited about it. Or when I wake up in the morning to a new day with new possibilities.

It's just my way of utilizing the way my brain works and motivating myself again.
